This is my best and perfect resort in the entire Cebu! Why? Because of its Mediterranean-inspired ambience, quite tropical and homey feel, very convenient location and most of all, the staff and owner Sir Al are very friendly and very very accomodating. They treat us with utmost respect and they provide our needs. Overall, this magnificent resort fits my standards. The rooms are very clean and you will be amazed how the owner is very keen to details. The infinity pool is amazing , it has Blu Bar, cottages and very tidy comfort rooms. There are staff always cleaning and checking the entire place. It is well monitored and maintained. There’s an easy access to the sea or beach side, which you don’t need to walk far just to get there. The rooms are seaside, the sea is just right outside the rooms. The beach water is very clean and very safe. The sea doesnt have any irritating or annoying creatures. It’s worry-free! Huna-Huna resort is known for their cost-effective and delicious meals from their in-house restaurant. You can order as much as you want without worrying your budget. It’s budget friendly! And the location is just along the main road, border of Catmon and Carmen. It is easy to locate. Huna-Huna resort is perfect for special occassions and events. If you are considering to do any celebrations outside your home, Huna-Huna resort is the place to be. Highly recommended! I can’t believe that I can visit Santorini, Greece for a very low cost in the North of Cebu. It is very affordable and worth every penny. This is a must-visit resort in Cebu if you want to experience Europe in your own hometown. All I can say is this place is such a paradise, and its people are angels. For me, this is your one and only piece of paradise in Cebu!

Room: The bed is bigger than I expected. It has A/C, flat screen TV, fridge, hot & cold shower and a balcony where you can hang, dine, enjoy the sea breeze and horizon view, and do star-gazing. The bed sheets are clean. Towels are clean. When it's high tide, you can hear from your room the waves crashing against the sea wall. Food: Some reviews say it's overpriced. Let me tell you --- it is not overpriced. Their pizza is very delish! And I love their veggie shawarma! Customer Service: They make you feel right at home! Place: Just 2 hours from the busy city. Nice and quiet. The beach has no shore, but it's fine with me. Wear aqua shoes because the sea floor is slippery. The place requires you to go up and down the stairs, which is also fine with me. They have a policy of no bringing of foods from outside but that's not a problem with me either because they have a restaurant that you can buy food from and the price is just right. I will be coming back to Huna Huna for sure!

Huna huna is one of the many beach resorts in catmon. It's a great deal for a price of Php2,000 per night. Room is airconditioned and cleaned everyday; beddings are always clean (i think they change it every other day) and towels can be changed daily. Staffs are very accomodating, you just have to ask them for help if ever you need one.you can eat at their cafeteria or you can ask them to bring the food to your room. I like their breakfast choices-- they have rice for filipino/american bfast like ham, bacon, tocino, daing na bangus, narive chorizo (longanisa in tagalog), etc. They also have bread for those who prefer that at bfast. I suggest you try their brewed coffee in the morning and pizza during merienda -- ang sarap! :) The sea view is superb! The rooms have glass doors/windows leading to your own terrace.it has a table and chair for your viewing pleasure of the sea just below your room. You can hear the waves from your room and you can see camotes islands from afar. Btw, camotes island is around 2 hrs away via boat from danao city, which is 30 minutes away from catmon. You can wake up early in the morning to wait for the sun to rise literally above the sea; then in the afternoon the sunset is also a good view. The place is big and have several areas where you can sit and relax, eat, chat with your friends or take pictures. They have several kubos/cottages too. However since the place is somewhat like a cliff, you have to go downstairs to reach the sea/beach area. There are also lots of plants and art pieces around. If you want to attend a mass, St.Joseph the worker chapel is the nearest to huna huna (5 minutes ride via trike) although there are other churches nearby. Downside: since catmon is around 2 hrs away from the city, you have limited choices of restaurants here unlike in cebu city. Also, transportation via commute is thru buses (aircon/non-aircon) and comes around every 15 minutes or so in the area. However, they also have multicabs or trike in case you're travelling in nearer areas. The beach floor is rocky so bring along your aqua shoes. And if you're looking for sand, this is not the place for you. No laundry shop in the area and the nearest supermarket is in the area of carmen, around 15 to 20 minutes ride via trike (but would be faster if via bus).

Stayed here overnight. The room met my expectations. It was just right for the price. The basic things you will need when in a vacation was provided. There was airconditioning, cable TV, and free coffee. The only downside was the tidiness of the room. The windows were a little bit dusty. This was a concern for me as I am quite allergic to dust. Nevertheless, we were able to relax there, it was not crowded. Another plus point was the location as it was accessible. You can relax while listening to the sound of the waves. The pizza was delicious :)

They have only 3 small cottages to cramp in. 1 outdoor shower and 1 dressing room for day use guest. Take extra care on the way down to the cottages, very steep and narrow winding stairs. Not allowing guest to bring their own, Food and Drinks. Corkage will be charge. Prices for their food and drinks is of a five star resort.

This is a gem located just 2 hours from Cebu City. The views are amazing, the food is wonderful, and the staff is very accommodating. I can't wait for my next visit to Cebu ... we will be heading up to Hunahuna again.

An hour and a half ride from the busy cebu city. It’s worth your Php2000/night stay including breakfast. The place is private and not crowded. You can enjoy privacy and solitude. For people who love to keep intimate moments and still be able to hear the sound of the waves. This is the perfect place. Candlelight by the cliff, dozing to sleep while hearing the sound of the waves, waking up seeing the sea while watching the sunrise and having breakfast at the balcony. On top of that, the staff is very accommodating most especially Rebecca. Place is instagramable (i’m not into that though). Food is great and mind you, big servings for affordable price. Breakfast is great as well but if you’re into heavy breakfast then you need to order more. Again, their food is affordable. They do not accept cards. Cash only basis. I really love this place and i will keep on coming back! See you in October!

Stayed at this resort for a couple of times already and every time it is a wonderful experience. The place is relaxing, clean and just a perfect place to unwind. The best part about this place is the location. It's only a short drive (1-2 hours depending on traffic) from the city and you've got yourself your very own paradise. The food is good too. The beach is great for swimming and snorkeling. The entry is a bit rocky so you need aqua shoes or footwear in case your foot is sensitive. They also have huts facing the sea which is great for relaxing and for those who would like some quiet time.

When the Marick up the road gave me 5-day reservation to someone else even though I arrived before 6pm, I had to scramble to find different lodgings, but remembered that on google maps I'd seen HunaHuna. Not knowing how good or bad it was, I wanted to get my tired body in a prone position asap because I'd been on a bus all day from Negros Island that was running late due to the Maayo Shipping barge. HunaHuna. The bed was somewhat larger than the average queen size in a big former home likely used by the Aussie owner years ago. Although as in any home the bathroom, kitchen and salas was shared, no problem, especially as I was the only one there. The room was all solid wood, and even with the quality aircon on, definitely more pleasant and quiet than most. The wifi is fairly good, but average for the Phils where signal is off and on weak and stronger: I ended up using the Link address instead of Red Maple or Main. The food was a pleasant surprise: Indian and Mediteranean food that was quite good. Apparently an Indian chef had trained the kitchen who carried on after he left. The breakfast is varied and very good, and if you ask the cook - Beverley - she will cook your eggs and such to your specifications. The grounds were tidy and obviously the cacti, varied tropical plants and trees was planted with landscaping appeal in mind. One big-leaved variegated philidendron or relative had sent large stalks up the trunk of one tree and was flourishing 30 feet off the ground. The view is open to the sea where one can see Camotes Island and on a good day, Leyte. There are many walkways leading down to the beach 50 feet below, and there are more rooms just off the beach behind a strong concrete and stone wall, as well as gazebos where on can relax to the tune of the waves nearby. The groundskeeper and maids all are very accommodating with carrying bags and helping with instructions. I am tempted to give this resort 5 stars but many of the amenities of more professonal-looking resorts are missing. This place is missing massage and other 'tourist' amenities. But I would gladly return any time if occasion arose!

We stayed last April 2016 in Huna Huna Cliff Resort. It was an easy place to go since it's just along the road, boundary between carmen and catmon. My partner is not really into checking in but only Huna Huna Cliff Resort made him say WOW and happy checking in to a resort and even wanting to come back. As a hotelier, the privacy and location as well as the staff who made our request possible makes a guest come back. We checked in recently on a well known hotel just in Cebu City but we were already talking about coming back to Huna huna. Hehe the room is so clean, the location, the privacy, even the german shepherd dog is so friendly! I'm so excited to be back and order your pizza again.
