1) Lift is really slow. The 3 lift to service all the floors closes and open very slowly. It is a long wait for lifts during peak period

Harris Hotel at Kelapa Gading is great - the service staff were all amicable and it felt like a relief everytime I got back to the hotel after braving Jakarta traffic. The convenience of the location is exceptional; it's connected to Mal Kelapa Gading and La Piazza... both full of tons of restaurants and stores.

Service was great. The only thing that was not impress at all, the hotel did not have back up power. The day we checked out, the power down for almost 1 hour. We stuck on the elevator, and had to force open the door. And, walked down with our bags and a baby from level 15.

A friend advised me to stay at Kelapa Geding Harris because it was the closest to her home and that would make picking/dropping me off easiest. I have stayed at Harris Batam and was not really impressed but this new hotel did impress me!
Harris kept to their usual cheerful colors of orange and green which they used all around...

From the time of checking in the service was friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and location perfect for meetings in jakarta and for a day trip to Bogor. The general manager, Antoine, was particularly helpful in providing golfing recommendations around Jakarta.

The room is clean and well-kept. Basic amenities were provided - soap, shampoo, sandals. Asked for comb but told that charges applied. Excellent location since the hotel is attached to a shopping mall that is quite big. You can basically find anything at the mall - food, luggage, sports items, cafes, electronics. Let's face-it, Jakarta is a nightmare for traffic; so if you are on business and need to be near the CBD, stay down there. Otherwise, this is a nice hotel on the outer fringes of town.
