We were participating in an Exhibition at Wanchai, and stayed 5 nights at this hotel. For HK$880 per nite, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel service and the room. The hotel provide free shuttle service to the Exhibition Center in the morning, though we need to book on daily basis the night before with the Concierge. For the return... More

The best thing about this hotel is the fast and efficient service. The room is as small like all HongKong mid-range hotels. Sound-proofing is average at best but the bed is quite comfortable. It is in a desirable location with plenty of shops around and if you want a little of the daily life of HKers, there is a lively... More

Stayed on a business trip for two nights. Rooms are relatively very small ( this is expected in Hongkong ). The bathroom can go in one way and come out the same way, does not have room to turn its so small. Location and basic amenities are passable. Restaurant service is very slow. Overall an average hotel just to sleep... More

This hotel is clean, no frills with friendly and efficient service. With its very convenient location (between Wanchai and Causeway Bay) and close to the shopping mecca, it attracts a large number of tourists from mainland China. Do not expect 5 star quality as the rooms are small for US standard (but are considered average size in Hong Kong) and... More

Was here for the Hong Kong 7s and felt that an expensive/brand known hotel was not important as we would spend so little time there: Warning, this is not the case, I have learnt my lesson. From the start, things did not go well - at check in, as I was assigned a smoking room this was not as per... More

i stayed at the south pacific hotel for 3 nights on a bussiness trip. the rooms are tiny and smell bad, the wifi doesnt work most of the time, the locks on the doors are broken and you should be careful leaving valuables in your room!!! when aproached the service manager or staff of the hotel, there was no one... Me, upon arriving to check-in: "Hi, how are you?" Check-in desk guy: *bored face, hand outstretched* "Passport" It wasn't the warmest of greetings. But anyway, the room is what's really important, and the room is nice, modern, and clean. There are a few things that we really liked: there was a (amusingly shallow) bathtub, the sheets were very comfortable, and... More

I stayed here in January of 2013. It is difficult to find a decent hotel for anything less than $200 a night, especially on Hong Kong Island. The hotel was decent, not in a horrible area, and about a 5-10 minute walk from the Causeway Bay MTR stop on the Island line. The rooms and especially the bathrooms are crazy... More

I have never heard of South Pacific Hotel before until it was recommended to me by a friend when my wife and I were planning for our trip to Hong Kong recently. I was rather hesitant to even consider it initially as I am very much a creature of habit plus I was a little turned off by the name... More

Reception nicely decorated, staff smart and pleasant, fairly good English. Room small, adequately furnished, window sealed shut (no fresh air!), aircon unit rattly, bathroom has no extractor fan or independent ventilation. Tiny bathtub, excellent shower, ridiculously over-complicated multi-function toilet, all instructions only in Chinese! Bed is a slab of concrete. Absolutely appallingly hard. Internet access is good, there's a TV... More
