have stayed at the Newton twice, once with my wife and once on business. Both times I have had little to complain about, service was good and friendly , the evening buffet dinner , both my wife and I thought was very good. Yes the rooms are a little small and the hotel is not super modern, but what are... More

We traveled in a group of 6 for the Hong Kong 7's. Read the reviews before we got there and were concerned about the Hotel. Glad i did read them because our expectations were very low! Yes the rooms we were allocated were small and the bed rather hard. But our experience with check in was positive and rapid. The... More

Dreadful experience. The plumbing work sucks, literally. The staff took about 40 minutes to check us in, even though we had already booked ages ago. Went to watch rugby and Australian Rugby Union official organisers " We Love Rugby" should be ashamed of putting us there amidst the crap they regard as a Hotel.

We stayed for 7 apalling nights some 8/9 years ago at this dirty run down dump, and looking at some recent reviews by other unfortunates, nothing has changed. Reception lobby contained a beautiful Chinese carpet which looked as though it had been used by a safari park. It was marginally more soiled than our room carpet / chair / bedlinen... More

We were staying at the Harbour Grand Hotel and thought we'd go over to the Newton Hotel for dinner. However, when we went upstairs for dinner the girl serving was unhelpful and not interested in serving us. After getting one drink, the wine tasted like it had been opened and left for over a month, we left disgusted with the... More

When we arrived, was given a room that look run down. The single chair was damaged, bed sheets with marks and the bathroom way below the standards. Floor was discolored and the shower with black spots and it wasn't the paint. When I approached the front desk they were every quick to change rooms. But it was still unclean in... More

My wife and i stayed in this hotel on our recent trip to Hong Kong. Verdict? Positive: 1. Fortress Hill MTR is less than 1 min walk away behind the hotel 2. Free Airport Shuttle from Hong Kong MTR station via airport express. Boarding area H2 3. Or direct access via public bus. Bus no. A11 stops directly outside the... More

Worst hotel experience ever. I book a hotel through travel agency, not those online deal that you get in the web. I book a 2 double bed and upon arriving in the hotel the receptionist gave me 1 double bed. We have 3 guest in total. How are we going to fit all of us in 1 bed. She said... More
