we didn't want to pay much for our hotel room, so we decided to go to Cynthia's Inn. the staff was really friendly and the wlan was working most of the time, apart from that there are no more positive things to tell about. Either you have a room without daylight and the smell of deep-frying (all night long) or... More

I stayed at cynthia's because it was one of those weekends where hotel prices go crazy in hk. I even saw several 4 star (not 5) hotels asking USD$3000+ a night, no joke. Cynthia's has good and bad points, some of which are beyond it's control. Pros ------ - Provide free WiFi for internet on you tablet or mobile. Since... More

Last tuesday february 12th, was the next day of Chinese lunar new year holiday and every single room in Hong Kong was booked. Since everything was so expensive and we already had the tickets to go, decided, based on Expedia reviews, to go to an Inn located next to Tsim Sha Tsui metro station. The price was close to what... We book this guesthouse online, pictures of the rooms look nice and clean, but when we got there the room was super small... also it was not fully clean... the previous guest smoked in the room, so the whole bed smelled like smoke... also some of the employees of the sleep in the outside in the hallway... The only good... More

Hong Kong is an expensive city to stay in, at least when it comes to hotels, and for a family of five you usually need two rooms. This time we decided not to spend so much money on the hotel but tried just to find a decent place to sleep at. We almost found it... Pros: - We got two... More

I booked New London Hostel for HKD600 because I liked the location, and that's the cheapest available at that time (believe me) scoured). I also read that majority of the reviews gave it a high rating. The hostel was located in Block A of Chungking Mansion but we were instructed to proceed to 11/F of Block D, where the reception... Location is right on the main street in South Kowloon, close to a MTR station and several buses, which is very convenient. To get to your room you however need to enter and pass through Chunking Mansions, which resembled some sort of not-too-pleasant run-down Indian bazaar. All the cheapest hostels in HK are located here. The rooms were clean-ish, okay... More

A young Indian guy on the entrance to Chungking mansions asked us if we needed a room and offered it extremely cheap for 250HKD a double-bed. Since we didnt have any reservation and were on a low-budget we followed him to E block Angel guesthouse on 5th floor. First impression of the room was not so bad, it wasnt good... More

We booked this online for a cheap stay between flights and it was badly overpriced. It was a tiny room in a the Chunking mansion complex with the reception in one block and the rooms in another. The lifts are tiny and you have to wait 10-15 mins each time just to go up or down!! Never stay here or... More
