Rooms are reasonable size and a good price, average quality of food in the various restaurants, gym above average for a city hotel. Friendly staff with prompt enough service. Good place for airport (30 mins, nominally) and visiting the city. Reception is a little chaotic at times, and the bar area can be overly loud with live music. I wouldn't...

Good hotel for a layover. We got a very good deal by using Starwood points so it was well worth it for us to spend the night here.
Although the hotel decor is dated, the place was clean and well maintained. It had all the services and amenities of a fine hotel. The room is small and so is the...

Service wasn't up to scratch in this hotel, staff weren't friendly or helpful. Location is a bit out, rooms and restaurants were fine though, nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about. If you get a good rate it's okay for a night or two, but I think you can do much better these days in BeiJing.

Indeed what had been said about the hotel needing renovation badly is indeed true. It definitely does not look like a Sheraton Hotel, much comparable to a local hotel. Even the taxi drivers are at a lost if you ask for Sheraton Hotel, it is better known as Great Wall Hotel.

Sitting in the hotel room of the Sheraton Great Wall writing this. I was booked in their "Deluxe" room by one of my colleagues but I turned in the door and upgraded to Executive floor as the Deluxe=standard room was tiny and very run down.Executive floor is on better shape, but this also needs a over-haul.
Breakfast was ok with...

Day 2 of a 5-day stay.
Stayed here a few times in the past and was always reasonably happy.
Pros:
Rooms are a little ragged, but decent enough.
Breakfast is fine.
Internet is reasonably fast.
Location is great (Metro is close).
Rate is good (compared to the Westin across the street).
Cons:
No in-hotel massage.
Noisy...

Exterior of the hotel looks okay but once we step into our room, we were pretty disappointed. It did not live up to the Sheraton brand name. We stayed at Sheraton San Diego and it was much better. Our room at the Great Wall Sheraton was old and dirty. The carpet corners were black... the furniture and decor were dated....

I had written to the hotel even before checking-in if they could provide us with decent / clean rooms. They replied back that they were able to upgrade me to executive floor. However, during checking-in they did not give us the executive room. Even the rooms that they gave us on club floor were quite dirty. The carpet was terrible,...

I really want to rate this hotel better because I had a good stay and would stay here again, but the bathroom was too small with many things not working well and the room decor was dated. The front desk explained my room was going to be redone later this year.
It was February, the heat worked fine, the bed...
