It is in the second highway ring of Beijing. It is surrounded by business facilities/buildings, not tourist attractions. The hotel provides a fast, 24 hours and convenient currency exchange with rate which is similar to Bank of China. However it is limited to US$ 300/day/room. The hotel is next to subway station; therefore, it is very convenient for commuting with... More

Fine hotel with decent service, but they charge 200 RMB for the breakfast and they charge for internet in the room that only works part of the time. This approach of fleezing customers feels outdated, and I am not happy about paying the highest price for breakfast anywhere in the world. Not to mention the pricing in the spa, which... More

I stayed at Swissotel Beijing 3 nights in May 2012. The hotel is conveniently located some 20 minutes (60RMB) by taxi from Beijing Capital Airport. I got a good impression of the reception area and good service during the check-in. I was upgraded to a larger room as well which was very kind. I got to my room, unpacked everything,... More

This was our first visit to Beijing and I must say, I would recommend it! The hotel was situated right outside Exit C of Dongsishitiao Subway station. This meant that we were able to easily travel to the majority of the main attractions very easily. I would recommend buying a SMART train ticket (20 Yuan deposit) when you arrive at... More

Spent a week in March 2011. Hotel is located in the Chaoyang district. There is a metro station right in front of the doorstep. Only four stops from the Wangfujing shopping district or five stops from Forbidden City. There is also a McDonalds right across the street or Starbucks next to the hotel if one is in need of comfort... More

If ever in Beijing stay in the Swissotel. The rooms are very spacious, serviced daily and the breakfast is 1000 x 1000. You could eat Western and Eastern food. There is a underground station right infront of the hotel essential for travelling round Beijing. The hotel is allso near to the, Silk Market, Clothing Market, Pearl Market. The Antique Market... Based on rooms alone it should be 2-2.5 stars. We booked the last two nights of our China trip in the Swissotel looking for a very nice hotel after two weeks traveling. Walked into the impressive lobby and thought "Great". The room on the other hand was quite a disappointment. The carpets were dirty and pulling up from the floor,... More

I spent three nights at the Swissotel Beijing on a business trip; the hotel is quite nice, though a bit old, and this reflects in the rooms and even more on the bathrooms. Rooms are really spacious and well sound-proofed, but it is apparent that they need some renovation. Beds quality was good, but seeing some colleagues' room, I saw... More

I stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it again. Location is great (easy from airport with taxi) and metro is just on the spot (if you use, I did not). Been here now three times and I have to say, that soon it is time to renovate the rooms. Not bad now, but getting there for a 5* hotel....... More
