The hotel is nice and safe. Security guards are on every floor. Receptionist is very helpful. The room is excellent for the price. The restaurant is okay, the food at the restaurant is very expensive. But free breakfast is okay. Taxi and Tuktuk are always available outside of the main door. I paid $50 per night. The night life is... More

Royal Court Hotel is a nice hotel, with decent facilities, beautiful reception area and decent sized rooms. The service was nice as well. It was good value for money. However, I do have some complaints. One, the flush in the toilets weren't working properly. We had to yank the lever three-four times before it worked. Two, the lifts in the... More

I am staying here for the first time. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are okay although more towels would have been nice. The shower is great. :-) the casino is dank with a musty smell no air conditioning with seedy looking clients. Definitely a no- go. The roof top bar offers a great view of town & the... More

Rooms are really small with skimpy service (eg, 1 towel for a double room & 1 extremely tiny soap) and in need of repair; shower extremely tiny, internet access ridiculously priced (about extra $15 per day). Double room was 80 usd; there is better value within walking distance Positves; quiet rooms, air conditioned, decent fitness center, excellent food (kudos to... More

I have been a regular visitor at this hotel for the last 4 years visiting either during the easter period or over the christmas / new years holiday. Even though the standards have not vastly improved over the years they have managed to maintain a set of standards that you would be hard pressed to find in any of the... More

If you just want somewhere to sleep that is clean, cool and quiet at a sensible price then this is the place for you in Mombasa. Breakfast is nothing special but you can fill up and it is included in the USD 75 room rate, but not the wifi which costs an extra USD 15 per day. Friendly staff on... More

After reading some of the reviews about the Royal Court - and experiencing some truly depressing hotels on the Kenyan Coast - I was very pleasantly surprised to step into the Royal Court. The lobby was gleaming. The staff was friendly. My room was just fine, and also very clean. The air conditioning worked. The hotel arranged an early breakfast... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights with my boyfriend. Was a very simple place, but clean. The rate was about $90 for the night for the two of us and there was AC and a nice bathroom. The rooftop pool/restaurant/bar was also simple but nice. My hotel preference in Mombasa is the Tamarind, but if you want to... More

I am actually staying at the Royal Court Hotel in Mombasa at the moment. The room's are very very average. When I first stepped into the hotel, it did not make me feel like I was in Kenya or any part of Africa for that matter. It had a south asian feel to it. The first room I got was... More
