We were the only guests at the end of the rainy season, and were treated in top fashion! Florence and Godfrey were excellent hosts, James showed great hospitality, and Maleto was kind and polite. The chef, Josephat, visited with us after several meals, and made some Kenyan dishes at our special request. Our highest regards for Joseph, our guide, who... More

The Masai Mara was excellent! Especially the staff they where so kind! My brother was scared so they gave him this tool they made to protect him and just to be sure they waited outside his tent ( it's completely safe my brother is just scred of the dark). The manager; Steve was really nice! So was Joseph our safari... More

My husband and I were the only guests for 3 nights at the end of April. All the staff were excellent (Samuel, James, Godfrey, Stephen the chef and James the safari guide). Tent 4 has the best view of the hippo pool. Only rained at night with spectacular thunder and lightening. Our guide was so knowledable and fun. Saw everything... More

The reviews say it all. Had a wonderful three day safari, following a short business trip to Nairobi. What a great place !

The word exclusive sums it up. Feels like you're in your own space in the jungle. Very relaxing. Particularly liked the bush breakfast before the game drive.

The setting is hard to beat: on the north bank of the Talek River, in the heart of reserve, yet with its own air strip five minutes away. There are no fences to separate you from the wildlife, which adds a little thrill to walking around at night (needless to say, you are escorted to and from dinner). The tents... More

The rooms are beautiful..set right in the middle of the wilderness. We could hear lions roaring and hyenas laughing all night long! The service is excellent! Wake Up calls accompanied by a hot beverage and tasty cookies.. Bathtub outside the tent...great concept..wasn't brave enough to try it though..too close to the bush! Overall...great experience..highly recommended!

Excellent staff, surreal surroundings, perfect for a safari holiday getaway. Special mention to the manager Steve and our fantastic tour guide John who made each of our 5 game drives an experience to remember. Wanja and kiragu

Our family’s incredible first safari trip with the Mara Explorer was just beyond our expectation. What a fantastic location that is operated by an entire team of attentive and extremely dedicated people who made us feel so special from the time we landed at the private air strip till the time we left. Our guide Joseph was such a fine... More

Stayed 3 nights at Mara Explorer, a fantastic hideaway in the middle of the bush just at the river bend and with "our own" hippo pool (could only wish for a little bit of more water in the river but at least the planes were dry). An excellent location for game drives with our very skilled guide, Vincent. We had... More
