Having returned home today I felt like I had to share the wonderful experience I had at Cottar´s. As a tour operator and being privileged to have travelled to different African countries, one get quite spoiled and fussy about things. But, I must say that Cottar's was an amazing experience! Beautiful intimate and luxury tented accommodation with total privacy. The... More

We just returned from our second trip to Africa, and this time included Kenya in our travels. We stayed at Cottar's Camp 1920's and had an amazing 3 days. We felt at home the minute we were picked up by our guide G.G. and the feeling continued throughout the entire stay. Our spotter Nebo and guide G.G. and the entire... More

My husband, two daughters (ages 11 and 13) and I spent a glorious week at Cottars safari camp during Spring Break 2012. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience (although we would gladly do it again). Our experience at Cottars was unparalleled - superb service and a first rate safari. The experience was tailored to our specific desires... More

We stayed at Cottar's Camp for 3 nights at the end of March 2012 and it was amazing. Where to begin to convey the magic of this place? From the moment we were picked up at the airstrip by our guide and maasai spotter, we immediately felt special, no crowded, noisy mini bus for us, but a spacious jeep all to... More

Cottars 1920 Camp in Masai Mara must be the best in that area! The tents are amazing with old traditional style from the past, the staff & guides including the masai´s are wonderful people. With such a small camp it gets very cozy, the main tent is decorated wonderfully & the food is excellent! We stayed in a large family... More

We stayed at Cottar's Camp for 5 days in Feb., 2012. It was the last stop of our trip and absolutely the best of the best. The staff is amazing, the attention to detail is wonderful, everything is tasteful, and the personalized service and touch are beyond. Our guide was fantastic as well as our tracker. We had a special... More

I, along with my wife and in-laws stayed at the family owned Cottar’s Camp for 6 days in November 2011. Like all the other reviewers have mentioned the experience was absolutely wonderful. What Cottar’s has that is unique is their amazing staff (Lorna, William, Joel, David, Brendan, Bella, Jimm, Boni, Calvin, and Louise), breathtaking views from the tents, and knowledge... More

We have been to Cottar's Camp again, and have lost our hearts to this unique place, all the fantastic people there and to the Mara. We enjoyed meeting a big male lion on our walk the first afternoon, the big herds of buffalos, the black rhino and all the other animals we saw. Most of all we are immensely thankful... More
