First I must tell you that I almost canceled this trip. People will scare you, not to mention all of the health and travel warnings. I am so glad that I did not. Just like every place you go, you use caution and common sense. This was a dream vacation and a life changing event.
My husband and I stayed...

I have stayed in this hotel twice for business, and look forward to returning later in the year. While some things seem a bit dated, the warm, Kenyan hospitality and good service make for a memorable stay. The grounds are beautifully kept, and breakfasts at the pool are a great way to start the day.
The hotel has plush greenery and large compounds which is really nice to have a walk. To me, it is a like a prelude to the national reserves that we visited. Our room has a balcony which face a green compound...so relaxing and refreshing!
This hotel is so big that it has its own casino. Too bad, I was not...

I ended up doing a conference here and stayed for 4 nights.
As has been mentioned, the grounds are large, but it is a fair trek to the city, but then again in Nairobi the traffic is bad at the best of times
Looking at the hotel, it is very similar to the other rooms I have stayed in in...

The venue is like a paradise with beautiful green space, pools and calming waterfalls. The rooms are lovely, each with crisp white linens, fluffy white towels, wood floors, ceiling fans, and balconies overlooking green space. The Italian restaurant is especially good and the breakfast and lunch buffets are well above average. Hemmingway's Bar off the main lobby offers a great...

I had a pleasant stay in this hotel, but found it more appropriate for tourists than for business. The hotel has a really beautiful garden, with pools, little bridges and exotic flowers, and different lodges and bars. It does have all necessary amenities for tourists coming back from the wild. On the other hand, it may not be perfect for...

We arrived at the hotel late one evening on the way to Masai Mara. We were greeted with refreshments by the hotel staff who were polite and friendly. The check in process went smoothly. The room (508) was spacious, had a t.v with English channels, a safe, a mosquito net (although not needed, there weren't any mosquitoes) and a balcony....
