We stayed 2 nights in the Karen Blixen suit, and it was perfect. Fantastic views over the well maintained courtyard. The breakfast on the Lord Delamere Terrace was a excellent start to any day. You have to try dinner at Tatu, best steak I had in Kenya. The people there are terrific and realy take care of you. When your... More

Booked this room at $289 on the hotel's website, so was a bit surprised when our bill came at about $400. But there's over 30% tax at Kenyan hotels! Not the Norfolk's fault, just something to watch out for. It also didn't help that they charged us nearly four times the price for mini-bar items - this was sorted out,... More

Our first stay at the Norfolk was delightful. Many time visitor to Kenya and have stayed in many hotels and guesthouses in Nairobi. This is the best I have had. In fact one of best hotels I have stayed in around the world. Recently acquired by Fairmont chain the accommodations were wonderful and the service excellent. Stayed there twice on... More

The service I received here on just my one night stay yesterday was some of the best I have ever received at any hotel anywhere: Hotel shuttle... More

The Norfolk takes you back to the elegance and service provided visitors in the colonial days - now enjoyed by guests of all colors and origins. Certainly one of the best hotels in the world, made my stay - primarily to visit friends in Nairobi and visit a nearby village orphanage - a perticularly enjoyable one. Unlike most hotels this... Always excellent experience, whether for a stay or an afternoon reservation. I would not want to stay anywhere else, and cannot imagine up-paying for newer hotels.

Spent one night, based on their web-site. Many issues to consider before you spend your money in this place: pricing: watch out, the advertised rate does not include taxes. so instead of 339$ you will end up with some 439$ - quite a surprise food: medium quality but even for Africa extrem long waiting time breakfast: attention: staff might give... We have stayed at the Norfolk many times over the past ten years. It's absolutely my favorite place in Nairobi. I feel like I'm back in Colonial times when I'm walking in the courtyard. Fairmont Corporation came in a few years ago and made many nice changes, but I loved it even before it was Fairmont. The breakfast buffet is... More
