Based on reviews here, I decided to book this hotel. Yes, it's a cheap hotel, but VERY noisy. If you are a light sleeper, good luck. Pros: Central location, staff seemed to be pretty good. Cons: Spartan furnishings (small sheet covering the mattress), small bathrooms where everything gets wet (including toilet paper if you are not careful), no towel hooks.... More

Close to the train station and the old market. And right next to Luxor temple! Wonderful location, decent rooms, fantastic roof top restaurant, very friendly staff make this a perfect location to stay put in Luxor. The Karnak temple is also just a fair distance from the hotel. Boats to the West bank start opposite to the hotel. We did... More

I feel lucky to have stumbled on the Nefertiti for my 4 days in Luxor. Its lovely rooftop deck overlooking the Luxor Temple and the Nile was my sanctuary and refuge from the intensity of Egyptian streets. I spent hours up there reading in the sun, being served tea and inexpensive meals whenever I asked. The rooms are very comfortable.... More

We ate here twice during our recent stay in Luxor sampling camel and other local delicacies,we had coffee on the roof terrace with fanastic views across to the illuminated Valley of the Kings. They do not serve alcohol but have no problem with you buying it around the corner in the licquor store and taking it in with no corkage charge.... Located overlooking Luxor temple just inside the tourist souk the hotel is very conveniently located. The rooms are small but clean, equipped with TV, fridge and noisy aircon. Staff are very friendly and willing to help out with advice and booking tours through their agency. The hotel is still in the process of being improved, when we were there the... More

For the money you are paying, pound for pound, Neferiti offers a great location, comfortable accommodations and an array of resources. It's proximity to the market and key sights makes it the perfect home base for Luxor. Everyone raves about the rooftop terrace but I must add that its staff is knowledgable and can assist in creating efficient itineraries without... More

We had a room on the 2nd floor above local cafes. It was so noisy all through the night till at least 1 am. We think people played a game like dominos and repeatingly bang the dominos on the wooden board. Although we were aware the hotel is right in the souq and want to ask for a quiet room... More

A budget hotel in a good location in a small arcade off the main bazaar strip, close to luxor temple you can see it easily from the front windows and the rooftop terrace). No lift, our room was on the top floor same as the terrace area where you can drink your own bought beer/wine etc but you can't buy... More

Luxor hotels are pretty complicated - you've either got total luxury (and sizeable price tag) a la Sofitel, Hilton etc; hotels for package tours, or very, very low budget... Nefertiti is a great choice - excellent location, clean facilities, good tour provision (if you want that) and really, really friendly staff. I stayed here for a week and the staff... More
