We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and we were rather disappointed with the overall quality of the stay. The breakfast was fine, although things like butter or rolls ran out from time to time and it was often hard to get a second coffee. Fortunately I knew the Arabic for butter, and spotted the chef, or I may... More

We visited Cairo in November 2011, Tahrir Square was up in flames then but though we could sense some suppressed tension, Zamalek seemed peaceful. The hotel first tried to put us in a room lower than the category (these rooms are small and run down, though the price difference between standard and superior rooms was not much) we had booked... I loved this hotel!I stayed here for three weeks (with a little excursion to Dubai included) and it really felt like my home at the end of my stay. I am not a fan of 5 star hotels. Why? Atmosphere is too stiff, food (well, everything!) is pricy, they are often located remote, interior looks the same everywhere, the taxi´s... More

I stayed only for 2 nights! I had a great stay! Even though I had booked for a single room, they put me in a double room -and it was quite spacious with a nice wardroab, desk, minibar, an excellent super clean bathroom and a window (Nile View!) The staff was very friendly and polite. Due to my heavy programm... More

Reviews of this hotel were mixed, but we were impressed. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was yummy, and the staff at the front desk were helpful about organising excursions. The hotel has a few drivers and we took two excellent day trips to various pyramids with Ibrahim. The location is great for restaurants, and there... More

We were initially booked into this hotel by our tour package operators but chose to return for the few days we had on our own in Cairo. We stayed 5 nights in total in 3 different rooms. Our first room was small and noisy and looked out onto the side street. The second room was nicer aand bigger and had... More

There will always be a Cairo, but reasonable hotel prices and good service may not be included in the deal. Obviously, the historic events unfolding on Tahrir Square have had incredible effects on both the country and its capital. Certainly the well-heeled visitors from the GCC will continue to be catered to in extremus at the plethora of new or... More
