Sayta is a lovely little family run hostel right in the heart of La Candalaria Bogota. John, the owner has clearly put a lot of time and effort into designing each room. There are 4 rooms in total-3 doubles and a dorm that sleeps 5. Theres a communal area upstairs with games, cushions etc for lounging around. There's a lovely little... More

Myself and my girlfriend spent a few days in Bogota and had the good fortune to go knocking on the door of Sayta hostel when we arrived early one morn looking for a place to stay. The place wasn't on Hostelworld when we were looking due to some mix up they had when they changed address a year ago. Its... More

We stayed in sayta hostel for four nights in their double at the top floor. The room itself is adorable, such a comfortable bed with many blankets. Really the prettiest hostel I have ever seen, so small and cosy. You feel like a part of their family. They make you tea or coffee when you arrive and every morning. Two... More

In my traveling experience, I have stayed at quite a few hostels, but without a doubt, I had the best experience at Sayta. It is true that this is not a very fancy hostel; although, the hosts and the fellow travelers don't require for a playstation to keep you busy. The hostel is run by a family, all of whom... More

A very small family hotel (it seems that there is only one double room!), but a very friendly and correct place to stay in Bogota. It is located in a quiet street of the old city, 2 mn walk from the touristic places to visit. Many bakeries, groceries and littles shops nearby where you can buy very cheap and delicious... More

Sayta hostal was my first accomodation once I landed in Colombia, I found it on google, and decided to stay there based upon the other trip advisor reviews, man was I glad. Sayta's location is right in the Colonial district of La candelaria, so one can walk any where, furhtermore extremmely safe. The home is beautifully restored, and they went... More

Sayta is run by a friendly, helpful Colombian family who make guests feel more like family friends than paying customers. The kitchen is available for anyone to use and there is often coffee on the go or beer being offered from the fridge. I learned to play a Colombian board game called parques and was accompanied to the bus stop... More
