We spent two nights at the Inca Utama Hotel & Spa as part of a Vantage tour. Vantage always selects the best accomodations, and this was up to par. Star ratings must be put in context. Our room was not luxurious by NYC standards, but it was lovely, spacious, and the bathroom was wonderful We lucked out and had a... More

we stayed there as part of our trip for a day. And I enjoyed staying in this hotel. Compare to some others hotels in Bolivia and Peru, Utama has a heating system and also electronic blankets. So you won't be freezed. There are lots of things to see in this hotel. There are several museum and restored Andean village with... More

Really spartan. The only reason I stayed there is because it was part of the tour. The hotel did not have hot water. The elevator was broken so you had to walk up stairs to your room. Rooms were small with little view. Nothing to do other than the sad little eco village next door. Would never recommend it unless... More

The hotel itself is pretty basic, but clean and the rooms (at least in the main block) are perfectly pleasant. Food again is 'standard' - i.e. basic and filling but perfectly nice, and served well enough. The main reason to stay would be (a) it's on the shores of Lake Titcaca and from nearby go the hydrofoils to Sun Island,... More

As a local, I enjoy staying at this hotel, always inviting family and foreign visitors. Rooms are good, beds are covered with electric blankets, which you will be thankful for. Food is very good, enjoy a warm marraqueta for breakfast and with other meals. The trout, freshly caught at Lake Titicaca is prepared in many ways, don't miss trying it.... More

The hotel belongs to Crillion Tours and is usually where you spend a night either before or after travelling on the Lake Titikaka by Hydrofoil (also owned by Crillion Tours). The hotel is good. Not a 5* hotel as judged in Bolivia, but a decent 3/4* hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and warm (we also had one of these electric... More

I stayed here with colleagues during a business trip, but the relaxing ambiance of the hotel coupled with the stylish rooms and excellent staff almost made me feel like I was on vacation. Plus, you can't beat the location -- right on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The hotel features spa services, an eco-village modeled after traditional Bolivian villages, and... More

This is owned by Crillon Tours who run the hydrofoil service to Sun Island. Everyone stops here for a night before catching the hydrofoil. This is a large rather spartan looking building on the side of Lake Titicaca. We were the only guests that night and the hotel did feel rather spooky. I think it trades on its image and... More

Although the Bolivian rating is 5*, UK brochures make it clear that this is only a 3* hotel and must be judged accordingly. The rooms are basic but are comfortable and have adequate showers en suite. The restaurant serves good food and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. The main attractions are the location on the shores of... More

I cannot believe this hotel can call itself 5 stars, it's beyond awful! The rooms are across a courtyard so you have to put on your coat to go for breakfast. The rooms don't have TV or even a fridge (fine, but in a 5 star hotel?). The heaters are insufficient for the size of the rooms. The breakfast is... More
