Cham Palace Hotel is a good alternative for a hotel in Damascus. It is centrally located with a traditional flavor that other big hotels in Damascus lack. The lobby - reception area is really great - oriental traditional and also very refreshing. The rooms are very clean but pretty small. Services are also very good.

The hotel was decorated typically Syrian specially the lobby, it was nice and interesting.Comparing with most of the hotels in Syria that are not standard, Cham Palace is rather acceptable & standard. some rooms are too small. the receptionist told us that the swimming pool is private for women before midnight, but it was not true.

Would recommend this hotel for conferences and meetings. Staff is extremely helpful and kind. Cham is well located not very far from old Damascus.

One of the best things is the location which means you can go walking to most areas of Damascus. Very elegant Hotel with obvious long tradition in the heart of Damascus. The old town in the vicinity is quick reachable. The room I had was rather small, furniture a bit old. Sleeping was ok. Rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. Service was very good. Restaurants try to please. Location excellent for all major sites in Damascus.
