I've been to Beit Chames last year already, but I cannot but confirm the other opinions about the hotel : this place is a gem ! Central location, great value, nice facilities ( US-style kitchen, free Wi-Fi, satellite channels), clean and cosy. I've spend quite some time in Damascus and have never found anything like this. Besides, Sameh, the owner,... More

Lovely place, when you find it (every laneway looks the same at night in damascus). extremely clean. An absolute bargain. The owners have patience of saints with endless queries from tourists who arrive anytime around the clock, including ourselves who kept changing our plan but Sami maintained his genuinely kind helpful manner throughout. It is very quiet and peaceful there... More

To keep it short - an ideal location (in the middle of the Old Town), the most hospitable owner/manager we met, beautiful interior, rooms, bath, kitchen – all nice and clean. We had a double room (called Menora) on the ground floor, with a bathroom shared with another double room. The room is very nice, the bathroom was the cleanest... More

Beit Chalmes is a real find. We count ourselves lucky to have found it. We discovered it by accident, after the hotel we had originally wanted to stay in had become booked up while waiting for our visas. Looking at the web, Beit Chalmes seemed much more ‘us’ in any case. And it was. Right from the off, communication with... More

Stayed two nights in the Pasha Suite with two children. Everything you need in the room and of a good standard. Kids enjoyed the jacuzzi bath. Clean kitchen available to prepare own food although we had breakfast provided which typical Arabic and better than the average. Host was really helpful and friendly and made us very welcome. Much better than... More

We had many difficulties to find a hotel in Damascus. We sent a mail to book a room and a few minutes later, one of the two associates gave us a call in France from another country in Europe. As the Guest House was not available for the 2 nights, he proposed us to book something very close to their... More

This lovely converted Damascene house was located down a pretty cobbled street in the old city, only a few minutes walk from tourist attractions such as Umayyad Mosque, the souks, and the bars and restaurants of the Christian quarter. My room (the Dervish room) was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and there was an LCD TV with satellite channels... More

It is a pity that nobody recommended this place on Trip advisor though I knew from the people I met in that place that they came through other people been there before I personally loved this place; it’s a place where you enjoy each little thing from the very first moment The nice welcoming, the unlimited well to help from...
