While touring Lebanon I made this hotel as my base in Beirut - mainly for its location in the Beirut's hamra district. Though very old and small, the hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. From the day of my online booking till the last day it was a balanced experience. Even the wi-fi internet facility was decent. Would recommend... More

The best trait of this hotel was its location. It is in the heart of the Hamra district. It is close to AUB. You can even walk to the Corniche if you are a walkable sort. It is right across the street from a mini market and a great coffee shop (Gloria Jean's). Many eating places around the area. Breakfast... More

4 stars for a backpacker hostel; 1 star for a $100/night hotel. We only booked this place because everywhere else was booked, but we moved out immediately after we found something better. For $20 more, we were in posh digs a mere block away, so the Marble Tower has absolutely no excuse for charging so much for such a crappy... More

It's my own fault for not reading the Trip Advisor reviews before booking into the Marble Tower. It was as bad as they said, if not worse because my door wouldn't lock. I moved out to another place that was similar price but 5x better.

We walked into this thinking it was amazing with all the marble on the ground floor but turned out to be a hotel from 1960's - i wish i took a photo to show you all how bad it was words cannot describe it! but something from steptoe and son may be suitable! avoid it like the plague unless you... beirut is an expensive city especially in summers, when the hotel rates skyrocket. i stayed here for only one night and that was more than i could've handled. pros cheap. although it charges $100/night in summers but this is quite cheap from beirut's standard. decent hotels are usually $200+ location. hamra is a very nice location. close to most of... Other reviews are spot on--this place is gross and not recommended. I don't care how good a deal you find on it, SPEND A BIT MORE & STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. All the reviews about the salty water in the showers & sinks are 100% true. It was disgusting. Management tells you "all hotels in Beirut are like this"--uh, no they're... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in-between Christmas and New Year 2010, paid £80 a night so maybe cheaper other times of the year however for £80 a night I expect a better hotel than this! First impressions were ok as reception best part of the hotel, (although v smokey) however lifts, corridors and most of all the rooms were very... More

We stumbled across the Marble Tower Hotel after a bad experience with the Embassy Hotel down the street. For US$70 nett per twin room (we had two twin connecting) with buffet breakfast and 24 hours complimentary WiFi from the lobby, we were truly impressed by their 'value-for-money' offer. Rooms are warmer, nicer and more spacious. Towels are white and not... More
