I stayed on two occasions in late April, about three weeks after the hotel joined the Hilton chain. Apart from the name on the top of the hotel there wasn't much evidence of Hilton's influence and staff were still adjusting to the new set up and the administration of Honors gold benefits etc. All the staff I encountered were helpful... Beirut is bustling with construction cranes everywhere and a wonderful 'buzz'. This hotel is closer to the airport than downtown but not in a particularly pedestrian-friendly area. It has been recently rebadged as a 'Hilton'. Main plusses: excellent conference facilities, comfortable rooms/beds, very good breakfast/food services and fitness facilities. 'Le Mall' is next door although it features mostly clothing stores... More

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. In the process of being converted to Hilton standards (now called Hilton Metropolitan Palace). Overall, the hotel is starting to show its age but hopefully once the renovations are completed, it would be much nicer. Service is good. Room was adequate. Only complaint (and I am particularly sensitive to this), somewhat... More

It was my first trip to Beirut, and this lovely hotel helped me to keep good memories of my trip. We loved the panoramic elevator looking into the lobby, the suite we reserved was quite with nice view into the far mediterranean sea. Faten at the reservation were very keen to serve us and follow up with lots of e-mails.... More

Hotel is good. Facilities and infrastructure are lavish. 15-20mins drive from Beirut International Airport. Room was good and spacious. However, when it comes to services - POOR !!! Somehow people only work only when paid - not for services they are offering with Hotel. Nothing moves if not paid. Hotel staff, Taxi, etc.
