Beirut is bustling with construction cranes everywhere and a wonderful 'buzz'. This hotel is closer to the airport than downtown but not in a particularly pedestrian-friendly area. Recently turned to a Hilton, this is a hotel thats teething its way to five stars. Nevertheless highly recommended.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. In the process of being converted to Hilton standards (now called Hilton Metropolitan Palace). It was my first trip to Beirut, and this lovely hotel helped me to keep good memories of my trip. We loved the panoramic elevator looking into the lobby, the suite we reserved was quite with nice view into the far mediterranean sea. Hotel is good. Facilities and infrastructure are lavish. 15-20mins drive from Beirut International Airport. Room was good and spacious. However, when it comes to services - POOR !!! Somehow people only work only when paid - not for services they are offering with Hotel. Nothing moves if not paid. Hotel staff, Taxi, etc.

it is clean, excellent and prompt service, spatious room. always available to support and help for what you need. they spent time when they gave me directions to places to visit and helped me with the transpostation contacts.

The only problem is it is bot that close to city center you always need to take a taxi. But eveything else is very nice
