As several of the other reviews have stated, if you are looking for luxury, this is not the place, but if you are looking for a destination with a neighborhood feel in an architecturally historic guesthouse, that helps you envision what Beirut was during the “Paris of the middle east days”, than this is the place for you. Beirut has... More

This is a guesthouse/B&B in a period building, not a bland highrise 4* hotel. As such, it has tonnes of character, every room is different, but if you need double glazing, concierge service, hairdryers and sterile surroundings this place isn't for you. What is is a place with friendly hosts, who are very helpful. They serve great breakfasts on the... More

We spent a week at Hayete and it was a great stay, one of the best we've had on our travels. Stayed at two different rooms and they were both wonderful and personal. The location leaves little to ask for and you're pretty much within walking distance from everything (otherwise there is a great reliable taxi company just around the... More

Hayete is a gem of a place. It is located in a beautiful area and the building itself is gorgeous. The hostel is so sweet and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is located in the French Quarter and it is in a great location. There is so much around and we were only a walk away... More

I lived in beirut for a few years so being able to stay in this beautiful ottoman era townhouse was a real treat. Whilst Simona was away we were looked after impeccably by mike and Susan. We had one of the rooms with an ensuite bathroom but all the rooms are beautifully decorated and sitting on the balcony whether for... More

This is my second time at beirut. First was 2011 new year and this was our wedding anniversary. As Beirut, Hayette welcomed us with peace and happiness. It is not an hotel like beirut is not a usual mediterranean coast touristic city. We ever did not met the owner but she made appointments for us, and put some alternatives for... More

There's no doubt about it, Beirut can be an overwhelming town for many. The scars of violence in its city-scape, the amalgam of different cultures and religions and economic status, the noise, the summer heat - all combine to make one wonder where the respite is! Hayete Guesthouse is in the French Quarter in a sweet, white apartment building a... More

Great place to stay in one of the nicest neighborhoods of Beirut. Hayete is in a beautiful Beirut apartment building: high ceilings, original floors, decorated brilliantly by the fantastic Swiss owner (check out the photography on the walls). The West room is brilliant - its huge and decorated in a cool mid-century vibe (the furniture was found in antique stores... More

This is the kind of place you'll stay if you value authentic experience over identikit luxury hotels. This small guesthouse is situated in the trendy Achrafieh district over a Mexican-Lebanese restaurant (good if you arrive in Beirut late and need a tasty bite to eat) and a 5 min walk from the famous ABC mall. The rooms are quirky and... More

We were very happy with Hayete. The location is excellent - in an affluent residential neighbour which is very French, key F&B, night life areas are 10 minutes away on foot. (small city, simple road systems, no one walks so it was very pleasant to walk around Beirut) The rooms we stayed, both with bathrooms, were nicely decorated, with sufficient... More
