I stayed at Gulf Gate hotel recently on my trip to Bahrain. The Reception staff were very helpful and courteous. Good service, clean rooms and value for money. Lot of Saudis during weekends. Some working girls as well. But it was really a good hotel to stay.

booked through a travel agency good service, clean rooms, staff was very helpful last movement request for courtesy airport pick up driver was waiting for me on arrival prompt service. Wi-Fi free and connection was good. I will book next time.

Worst hotel even my life... All carpets of the corridor are dirty n smelly. Taken suite room, but ooooof, it was even worst room then normal room... Never ever recommend even to my enemy. Baharin is a small country and this hotel was nice and cosy. Had a nice restaurant and club on the ground floor as well as another at the side entrance. This hotel is central and walking distance to other night life clubs around the place. As I said Bahrain is small and all hotels would be close to everywhere.

I would give it 3 stars. Most rooms are large. Good location. Swimming pool. Free wifi in the lobby. TV reception is hit or miss. The hotel in currently under renovation, so expect some noise and paint smells. All rooms are being upgraded with new furniture and flatscreen TVs.

I stayed at the Gulf Gate Hotel in Manama, Bahrain July 14-15, 2011. This hotel is a great value for money. The hotel was clean, the room was spacious, the staff was helpfull and curtious. I will return to this hotel.
