i type this as a current guest of Le.meridian Makkah. Im in room 1915 and after a week at the worst establishment ever I am glad to be checking out today the 16 May 2012. The staff are appalling! Especially reception staff and conciegre in lobby. They won't acknowledge you, dont care about assisting you and they will never smile... More

I travelled during the first week of April. We had a Haram view room. It was about 6 minute walk to haram, the hotel was cleaned daily but fresh supplies of soaps etc weren't left until I asked for them. We asked for an iron and got that. The Tv was useless as nothing we or the kids could watch.... More

Good hotel in a great location just a short walk to the Kaba.Good price compared to those hotels clustered around the Clock Tower, and in my opion more convenient all the Clock Tower hotels have to be ascessed by a system of lifts which would be annoying. Word of warning make sure you double check your booking we had three rooms... More

I was there to perform Umrah i did not want to loose my temper. I was checked into a Room 1016 already occupied by somebody and his stuff lying around. The guys in the evening have extreme difficulty in understanding englsh. Shower not working, No room Kettle available, Laundary malfunction, etc. Only the Bell Boy Rasheed & Nadeem were excellent... The purpose of the visit to Makkah for Umrah or Haj for most of us, hence we do travel with kids and to have them occupied with something we tend to put the TV to keep them quite. As we visiting Makkah for holy purpose, please dont expect or suggest what you usually do at home. I personally prefer not... More

My family and I stayed at Le Meridien Makkah during our umrah trip from 14th to 18th March. The location was not like what I expected i:e as advertised in the website about 100m from King Abdul Aziz Gate. I agree this 100m is the geographical distance, but since there is a crowded main road infront of it that we... More

The hotel is located a convenient 5 minute walk from the edge of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam, although on the way back it is uphill so may be tough for the elderly. I would leave 15 minutes to get from your hotel room to your position for salaah inside the mosque due to the crowds and the time it takes to enter.... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in February. Location wise it's 3/4 minute walk from the haram. You cannot see the Kaaba tho. We stayed on the 18th floor facing the Kaaba. You can see the outskirt of the haram and the single minar. Food was not all that great even tho there was varieties. There was a chef to make... More

I stayed there for one night. I have to say its well located but the service is not a five stars service just as most of Mekka hotels simply because of the very high occupancy rate. You can see the Haram from the hotel but you can't see the Ka'aba
