Indeed, it's not the 5 stars you're used to see in middle east, but at the end it's more than acceptable. My colleagues, on the contrary, asked to change their room, so it might have been lucky. OK,let's not be so picky... The hotel is nice, good service, nice location, good rooms...

Stayed here recently for a few nights and thought it was okay, but definitely not 5 star quality, like some other Grand Hyatts in the Middle East. There were a couple of very nice things and a couple of problems. The first very good thing was that the hotel somehow provided me with wifi in the room upon request. Other... More

It was unfortunate that the timing of my three day stay coincided with a major defence industry conference in Amman, so all hotels were at a premium. Consequently we paid way over the odds for this hotel, making it one of the most expensive hotels I have ever stayed in. They did explain that if I had come at another... More

I stay in Amman regularly and previously had used Intercontinental, which is much better than the Grand Hyatt. I'll be back at the Intercon next time. Check in took forever and I really had to fight to get a room away from the noisy construction work, which continues. I paid to upgrade to a club room, which was small although... More

I've stayed here before and every time I am disappointed. It's more lie a 3 star hotel. Service requests are ignored, front dek is unhelpful and it cannot compare to the Hyatts in Dubai or Doha. Actually, the only reason I stay there is to keep my status in the Gold Passport program.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel as a 5 star, arriving May 8/2012,,i payed the full tariff+tax (311JD),it was not worth the value at all,,Hotel+rooms are old, carpet is spotted and peeling, old furniture,no room WiFi,they do renovations which is noisy, but find any other 5 star hotel until it is fully renovated.

We just returned from a two week whirlwind tour of the Holy Land where we switched hotels every other night. After the group tour ended my husband and I wanted a little more upscale hotel where we could enjoy Amman and still be within driving distance of some of Jordan's unique sites. I researched the heck out of 5 star... More

Nice stay, recommend the Sheraton which is a lot newer, although the Staff is very friendly. Non-smoking room smelled as if it had recently been smoked in, no free Wi-Fi in the lobby, no Wi-Fi in the rooms so if your like me with an IPad it's off to the lobby to pay for some Internet time.
