This is the sort of eclectic place that we love. The accommodations are basic, the staff is very nice, and don't believe what people tell you about Sister Anna. The property is a bit hard to find in the Palestinian part of Jerusalem. We took a cab from the bus station and initially spoke to a Jewish driver who said... More

The place is difficult to find and many taxi drivers don't know it so tell the driver it's in Ras al Amud in Palestinian part of Jerusalem, aside from Mount of Olives. Hostel has fantastic location with outstanding views of Old City and Temple Mount in particular. It takes only about 15 minutes to walk to the closest Old City... More

Maison d'Abraham is on the second hill of the area called Mount of Olives, called Rus el-Amoud. If you go there, and ask a taxi to take you to Maison d'Abraham on the Mount of Olives, they won't know where you mean, and will drop you on the wrong hill. The walk over is very steep. This hostel is not... More

I really enjoyed my stay here in East Jerusalem at Mount of Olives. The people are wonderfully kind, a huge place with only four nuns and staff. They have a great sense of humour too, always helps. This is a large, stone, rather austere looking building but it is very warm thanks to the residents. The bedrooms and bathrooms are... More

We had a wonderful stay here, the compound is beautiful and peaceful, and the location is a 15 minute walk from Lion Gate into the Old City. There's a lounge for guests and a stunning garden, also there's a wonderful view of Jerusalem from the roof. The rooms were clean and basic, exactly what we wanted, and so much better... More

This is a superb location, roughly a 15 minute's walk from Lion's Gate, and about 20 minutes walk from Dung Gate if you go through the valley. The website directions suggest going to East Gate and then taking a taxi, which seems to leave you in the middle of nowhere. In fact, you can either walk 5 or 10 minute... More

We have stayed here for four nights with 8 persons. It is a sober but very nice place to stay. It lays on top of a hill very near by the mount olive (they say it is a part of the mount olive) Sober but good rooms, very good beds. Breakfast is sober but OK. From the shadowed garden, sitting... More

High on the Mt of Olives, surrounded by trees and fencing is an old monastery that has been turned into a hostel of sorts. It is run by French sisters. There are rooms in the building and little family cabins in the back. It is clean, comfortable and safe. It is quiet on the premises, but when you open the... More

I Stayed here because I couldn't get any accomadation in the old city. We booked 3 nights and ended up coming back for 3 more!!!! The Building its self is very simple and basic, but the atmosphere and view make up for any luxury lost. The staff and sisters are wonderful but mostly just speak french, but we managed. The... More
