Great location in Jerusalem. Located just in front of Herod Gate. 5 minute walking from Damascus Gate. Good breakfast, helpfull staff. Hotels in Jerusalem are quite expensive, so this is a good option to stay.

Had a great time, staying one night. Clean, quiet (cemetery view), nice breakfast and very polite, friendly and helpful staff! Would recommend for sightseeing, as the hotel is located very close to Herod's Gate! Great value for money!
I arrived at the hotel at 05:00am and was charged an extra $30 for early checking-in. To avoid noise I chose a room facing the backyard with a cemetery view. The rooms though minimumly clean are run down, no heating in the rooms, no hot water, the blankets are very thin I had to take two from the extra bed...

I have stayed here on a number of occasions and find it to be a good base to explore the city. In fact the hotel is only about 300 yards from Herods Gate in the old city wall - 2 mins walk away so a great location for exploring the city. I don't think you will pay less than the...

I stayed at the Rivoli Hotel in August and while it was basic it really gave a feel of how life actually is in the Arabic part of Jerusalem. All the staff there from the manager down to the cleaners were very open, always helpful and polite (better than at some UK places) and always tried to make sure the...

It is the worst experience ever... Never stay here unless you like unheated rooms, cold water and a TV sat which is just a piece of old furniture... Do mind this and other comments (which I unfortunately did not do) and stay away from this s**hole!
We stayed at the Rivoi in East Jerusalmem in Mid November for a couple of nights.
First of all the good points...
Its location is great!! Right by Herods Gate by the old city you can walk out of the hotel straight in to the Old City. Its a stunning place to stay for walking around Jerusalem.
Its cheap. We...

I stayed here two nights in November. The man on receptipn was very helpful and friendly. He offered lots of useful advice about Jerusalem.
The hotel is a stones throw from the Muslim quarter of the Old City walls and is in an excellent location for exploring.
The rooms themselves were a good size but need modernising. The room had...

We generally go for budget hotels and hope to find "value". I just didn't see it here.
If you were going to give stars, I really think 3 would be too much for this place - it should be 2 1/2. Yes, there were en-suite bathrooms. However, we were told there would be hot water from 6-9 a.m. and 6-9...

We just came from Jerusalem. Rivoli was a very good choice for what we did. Walked to most of our destinations even to the Mehane Yehuda Market which was quite a long one. Rooms clean but beds are worn out. There are no other restaurants nearby but there are 2 coffee shops down the street. Garden Tomb and a cemetery...
