I booked this hotel at the airport and, well, I got fleeced! But that was not the fault of the hotel and when I decided to stay in Istanbul a second night they gave me a great rate and I happily stayed. This hotel isn't (nor does it CLAIM to be) the Ritz, and I would want to stay at...

Stayed 3 nights in this suberbly located hotel. The room was a little small, but modern and with a spacious very clean modern bathroom. There are much larger rooms available, but for 70 euros per night we were very happy. Can't say enough about the service - just mention coffee and it's there, for free! Very obliging staff all round...

Hotel`s staff very friendly and helpful, breakfest good, rooms clean but very small, especially room no. 402! It was the smallest room I`ve ever seen! Good location, close to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. The terrace should`ve been nice, with beautiful views, but unfortunately it was unarranged, full of dirt, one dirty table with unstable chairs...

I stayed at Akcinar Hotel in January 2009 and had wonderful time. Hotel is located near all Istanbul must see locations (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Galata tower, etc.) and Taksim area is also in walking distance. Rooms are very clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not so rich, but it's good.
Akcinar is a great place where you can...

We stayed at Hotel Akcinar for 8 days and found that everything in Old Town was an easy walk, plus we were located very close to the tram station. The people at the desk were helpful. The free breakfast was okay, but after a couple of days of eating the same thing you will want to go somewhere else. The...
