March 2009 we went to visit Istanbul, mainly for all the tourisattractions. The hotels locations is perfect!!! Within walking distance from all main attractions and the gardens. The rooms were well cleaned and had a good size for the price we paid. The bathroom was perfect and we created a balcony on the stairs outside. Breakfast in the morning is...

First of all, I must say I haven't got anything to complain about. The location is perfect (that was the reason for choosing this hotel): most of the main attractions are within walking distance and the tram stop just around the corner as well the harbour very near make it easy to move around. There're also many restaurants around.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It is very close to everything a tourist might like to see in Istanbul. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was most helpful.
However, if you are a most robust person, you might want to search for a hotel with larger rooms and bathrooms. Also, some repairs/refurbishing wouldn't hurt.

I booked at a very good rate and didn't know what to expect. The hotel is in a very pleasant quiet side street, surrounded by other small hotels, a couple of minutes from Gulhane tram stop, and 5 minutes from Topkapi Palace, 10 minutes from Hagia Sofia.

Ersu hotel was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed at the same hotel. But when I checked-in the lobby had a rancid smell along with the smell of smoke (unavoidable I guess in Turkey). The room was small but good enough for a single person. the room looked clean but the bathroom was the dirtiest I have...

A bit dark, a bit noisy, dated basic rooms and not very clean; bathroom ok and clean; staff very friendly and willing to help, location - PERFECT. For the price paid (30-40 EUR per night a standard double), it was a fair choice and i would stay there again.

The hotel was a bit problematic for my taxi to find since it is nestled inside an alley. The room itself was small and uninviting but the hotel is close to many restaurants and bars. About a 15 minute walk gets you to the train station and harbour. Another 20 minute walk in the other direction gets you to the...

Hotel is excelently located - it is in the city centre, 5-mins walk from Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque... Staff is friendly and rooms are not big, but quite cosy (clean & with all you might need for a short stay). Internet in the hotel lobby is free of charge but it doesn't work as it should (at least, it...
