I can't imagine why anyone would want to stay here unless they had business at Koç University (which I did). Located in Sariyer district, it is 45-60 minutes from the airport and 30-45 minutes from the central districts of Taksim and Sultanahmet. However, it is the only hotel in the area and it's not bad. The rooms are tiny and...

We stayed here for four nights on our way back from business elsewhere in Turkey. We wanted somewhere with character and minimal hassle, and felt that to be exactly what it was. The public rooms of the hotel are simply beautiful, making it one of the most amazing we have ever been to, and our bedroom was attractive though idiosyncratic....

Stayed for a week and whilst the hotel was in itself attractive and comfortable, the service though friendly was a little casual, the menu was exclusively international, the Internet set up was very confusing , patchy and required multiple log ons to undertake the basic search functions. Location on the bosphorous littoral was very pretty.

Got here and the internet wasn't working (ultimately they fixed it--but the first person they sent to my room was clueless--they had to reset the router). The room is small and 85% of it is taken up by the bed. Tap water not drinkable (which I knew) but you have to pay for bottled water so that you can brush...

We stayed three nights at this hotel to attend a wedding. The decor was amazing. This hotel is from the Ottoman time and was kept in that style. Everything from chairs to drapes has the same authentic look. It is a very elegant and quiet hotel. However, it is about one hour driving distance from the city center.

What a beautiful hotel! The lobby is very impressive and my room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was more than adequate. The only negatives were the man at the reception desk bordered on unfriendly and the price was out of my budget at 90 Eur. This was off season so I expected around 70 Eur or under.

I had stayed at the Fuat Pasa, for two night, once before, when there were various problems - no record of room booking, awful room, poor breakfast. But all these were addressed and resolved for my second night stay.
Because of the convenient location I decided to give the Fuat Pasa a second chance, but it will not get a...

This hotel looks fantastic from the outside; the reception area is amazing and some of the new bedrooms are beautiful. But none of that is worth the trouble of actually staying there.
We took two new bedrooms. In one (the honeymoon suite) the bedspread was covered in marks that looked like it had been honeymooned on! Absolutely disgusting. When we complained,...

This is a beautiful historical building right on the side of Bosphorus. However the rooms are quite simple and do not match up with the rest of the grandeur. I could not close the curtains fully, and the traffic from outside was very noisy so it was not easy to sleep. Beds were basic and not so comfortable. The bathroom...
