We arrived at our original hotel (which we had booked and paid for in advance) - Saba Sultan at 9pm to be told that they were full and we would have to be moved to a superior hotel which was their sister hotel.

The hotel is situated just near Blue moskee, and close to both bazaar and histrical monuments. Unfortunately we got a room without real window, just one opening to a warm ventilation shakt which gave us some hard nights as the earlier guest was a smooker. Hard were also the beds. Been traveling for several months, and have stayed in 5star deluxe to second rate dumps. This was the best hotel of all. An incrediable value, in a great location. You are footsteps away from all the sights, shopping and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable, very very clean, and the staff all wonderfully warm and helpful. I can' say enough good...

The Hotel Saba is brilliantly located near the most famous sights of Istanbul. The staff were helpful, the rooms more than adequate for the price, and the breakfasts generous in a wonderful roof-top terrace with a view of the Blue Mosque. Always warm despite bitter outside temperatures.

We found this hotel through tripadvisor and we were not sure how our stay was going...

Very good price-quality ratio! I stayed in Saba Hotel for one week in chilly November. The location is perfect for sightseeing, trams, shopping. Still Saba is neatly off the route of Sultanahmet crowds. You will find nearby supermarket, laundry, internet cafe, restaurants, normal life plus the fabulous sights. The rooms are very basic, but clean, with hot water, heating and...
