The location and the rooftop breakfast terrace are the best things for this hotel. Just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and the rest of the Sultanhamet siights. Tricky choice of view to select for a very nice breakast on the roof terrace - the Bosphorus one way and the Blue Mosque the other. Good choice of restaurants... More

Location is very central. Near all major attractions, such as Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Topkapi Museum, Grand Bazaar etc. Very well appointed rooms and great breakfast buffet on the rooftop terrace with stunning views of Bosphorus. In the neighborhood there are many many nice restaurants and cafes. Definitely a must for families. Very friendly staff who do everything for you.... More

The location is the best thing going for this property: centrally located in Sultanhamet, 5 mins to Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque, and a great view of the Marmara Sea from the roof. The property itself is nothing special; the rooms are not particularly small or large, and the amenities are average for a 4 star. I would have... More

The hotel has a good location in Sultanahmet, easy to get around. The rooms are fairly small, but adequate. Staying a minimum of 3 nights, we were able to get one way airport pick up, so it was convenient. Asking the front desk about places or recommendations resulted in very little. More

First impression wasn't very good, now they have changed the name so it was a nightmare for the taxi driver to find the hotel. It is ideally located, close walk to Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, and also to tram station and good eateries nearby. However, the room we were given was on ground floor, and windows opened into the... More

Been here for a 4 days business trip on november 2011. 2 minutes walk from the SultanHamet Camii, the Blue Mosque, in a historic residential quarter full of restaurants, shops and hotels. The hotel is a wooden 19th century building, really luxury in the turkish way. Excellent service, very good breakfast. The room was clean, luxury, with a wide bed,... More

BW Obelisk has a very coveted location, right in the middle of Sultanhamet from where you can walk easily to any of the historical spots that one visits Istanbul for .. From the terrace you get beautiful views of the Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque and a never tiring view of the Bosphorous ... Roms are nice and we got a... More

We stayed at the BW Obelisk hotel from December 26 until December 29. The hotel is a very nice hotel and they do have a very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived in Istanbul at 06.30 am from a 15 hours flight from Jakarta, and we went directly to the hotel, thought just to wait in the lobby until 09.00... More
