This is an old Soviet hotel with cheap Chinese furnishings. If you get a single room, be warn that it is really tiny, especially the washroom. However, the location is really excellent - close to Sukhbaatar Square and downtown.

The UB has seen better days. Water pressure in shower was hopeless. Location was good as the office is around the corner. A colleague had his bag stolen out the front, not the fault of the hotel, but be aware.

This place is frankly sub-standard and over priced. Standard rooms are pitifully small, bathrooms cramped and heating inadequate (in December). This is a very tired property. The hotel is nominally clean, but corners in the bathroom had hair and debris from a former guest. Like another reviewer the touch pad near the bed that controls the lights worked intermittently.
