The water pipe into the toilet cistern from the hotel main dribbled water constantly across the bathroom floor. Everything else was good. An excellent location - with easy walks to many sites, even the poor, neglected National Museum. Good WiFi, good breakfast, ate dinner in one rainy night - good. Staff service, though some staff were very reserved, hiding poor... More

We stayed 3 nights at Ansara Hotel and had a lovely time. Our room was the Suite Affair and had a lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. The hotel provided free minibar and treats each afternoon! Breakfast is included in the room rate and was limited, but still more than adequate. You could have your choice of a hot dish (eggs... More

This time in Vientiane, we choose the Ansara Hotel, mainly because of the handy location. It was a good choice. We had a lovely suite with a large balcony. The bed was comfy, the supply of free soft drinks and nuts was fantastic and the staff so very friendly. Their lack of English was more than made up for with... More

The Ansara is a charming hotel, more like a lovely residence than a hotel. There's not much to the place, just a restaurant on the side and a small garden which most of the rooms overlook, but the buildings, decor, service and ambience made it for me. The location is down a small street just off the Mekong, close to... More

Stayed here end of April for 3 nights in standard room Room was nice although small but comfortable. Good and new air condition, flat screen tv, laptop and best of all free mini-bar (soft drinks, water and snacks) refilled daily. Bed was a little hard but good choices of pillows. Balcony was lovely, overlooking hotel’s courtyard. Feel like being in... More

We stopped over in Vientiane twice in a week on the way up to Luang Prabang and then back. Looking at tripadvisor, we found that there were quite a few nice boutique hotels, so we booked the Ansara on the way up. Rooms were not very big, but the hotel is made of three houses with a garden in the... More

Really nice hotel with great and friendly service. We loved our stay there. The garden is beautiful and makes the Ansara Hotel a little Oasis in Vientiane. The rooms were quiet and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. Would always stay there again. More
