This hotel has great potential but clearly has no management, and the staff very little hospitality training. Yes, it has nice enough decor but without service to accompany it, it means nothing. The mattress was really bad, the shower head was broken, the AC froze us, the room was full of mozzies, the breakfast was pretty crappy...and in Laos there... More

Dear Guests, I am the new General Manager of Le Leela. We have just taken over the management of this beautiful property. The hotel did not have a manager for the last year and was run down. We have taken immediate actions to improve the overall service of the hotel: - Cleanliness - English speaking staff - Good breakfast -... More

If you like quiet, this place is excellent. The room we had (superior) was large and roomy. The only problem was the air conditioner was above the bed, making one person freeze while the other was wondering where all the cold air was. it wasn't too far to walk to the shops if you like walking, and we walked to... Highly recommend for the price you pay. Staff are so friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and spacious. Only 20000 Kip to city centre ($2.50). More

A new reasonable sized boutique hotel just outside the city center in Vientienne. Obvious attention has been paid to the chic(ish) decor but not enough to the day to day running of the hotel. The staff do their best but are clearly in need of training and guidance. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast was very limited and the same... More

Le Leela was a steal for us, we booked it as part of a web promotional offer and found rooms to be clean, chic and boutique like. It's about 10 mins by bike to the main road of Vientiane and an easy 20 minute walk to the restaurants and central areas. While near enough to shops and tourist attractions, it... More

As others have noted, this is an attractive French colonial building that has been refurbished in Swedish modern style. But it's best quality is its location in a leafy, relatively quiet neighborhood on the edge of downtown Ventiane. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the heart of the city; as someone has pointed out the neighborhood isn't particularly well... More

After reading mixed reviews we decided to give Le Leela a chance for our 5-night stay in Vientiane. Reservations went smoothly, no credit card needed. The airport pick-up did not materialize even though it had been confirmed with the hotel. We had booked a deluxe room with a garden view; the view from the ground floor bedroom was of the... More

Khuen & I stayed Le leela Hotel on December. We had great time in here. Le leela Hotel is nice, away from the city, but not un-walkable, so it really depends. I like the colonial villa with a retro feel and the lacquered floor. Everything was chic and hip in terms of design and taste. Breakfast can be improved but actually,... More
