This small hotel offers comfortable, clean rooms with airconditioning and in-room safety box.. The hotel has a lovely athmosphere. Friendly staff. There is no elevator. Good breakfast with a variety of choices. Walking distance of major attractions.

My son and I had a loft room. It is amazing how much room we had. The furniture is of nice timber, almost antique but in top condition. The breakfast was very good. On our second morning we had to leave at 0700 on the bus to Luang Prabang. The breakfast staff made sure we got our breakfast before we... More

Decent hotel, which is nicely located near the Mekong. Our room was very nicely decorated with some lovely furniture (though you might need a stepladder to get onto the bed) and a nice feel to the place. The breakfast was fine - quite a wide variety of options, though the coffee was putrid, tepid, and (thankfully) scarce. The staff were... More

The good thing about reviews here is that you could really trust them. This hotel may not be the first in the list but the description of Hotel Khamvongsa from other reviewers gave me a reason to stay there. The hotel is a few street away from the backpacker street so you could be assured that night time would be... More

Great clean accommodation. Some of the staff could be a bit more hands on. The aircon was struggling in the very hot conditions. Easy walking distance to bars, markets, street food and eateries. Just one minor complaint.. Free bottles of water would be good. Even just one for brushing teeth etc. all water is to be purchased. But I would... More

Stayed just 1 night here (our last night) but was the most comfortable stay we had in Laos ( we had 2nights in Luang Prabang and 2 nights in a sleeper bus and 1 night in Vientiane). We booked a Double room and a twin bedded room but were given our stay at Room 306 & 201 (both are twin... More

Had a two night stay but actually slept in three rooms due to aircon problems, not helped by temperatures nearing 40 degrees celcius. After checking in we went out for a stroll and something to eat and looked forward to a nice cool room on return. Not to be and were told the service people would look into it. After... More

My wife & I stayed at the Hotel Khamvongsa for 4 nights. The hotel is very picturesque with it's colonial architecture and the staff do an outstanding job of cleaning/maintaining the hotel. While it's off of a quieter street, the hotel is actually located quite close to the Mekong and some good cafe, restaurant, shopping options. There's always someone manning... More

This was my second and third time at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and an additional bonus is that the hotel is close to my favourite Vientiane restaurant Le Silapa. A choice of breakfasts is included in the room rate and served in a pleasant airy breakfast room. I arrived with a bike in a box... More
