Travel to a foreign country always requires patience and a passion for adventure. The River Star is a true journey back in time. Sure it has seen better days but the staff is nice and works so hard to please. There is one common free computer in the lobby to use but I always got mosquito bites there. The fans... More

This hotel location is fantastic because its so convenient. It is walking distance to the Saturday night market and where all the happenings in Phnom Penh at. For a night life or party goers, this is the place where you want to be in Phnom Penh. not the hotel but the location. The hotel I must say, decent room. Toilet... More

There are many hotels of this caliber around this area of PP so I tend to try a different one each time I come. When I arrived in town I was a bit tired and when the tuk-tuk driver directed me to this place (after I specified my budget and favoured location) I had a quick look and moved in.... More

Saw $17 rooms advertised on agoda, so managed to bargain for a nice room with 2 small double beds, little window, big bathroom, big room (and then didn't have to pay agoda fees!) Had great stay, good central location on river, friendly staff, free wifi and computer, good breakfast and Illy coffee. Would definitely stay here again!

We spotted the hotel from the boat as we arrived from Vietnam, managed to shake off the hordes of tuk-tuk drivers at the landing and legged it there, to get the last available balcony room. Probably not the cheapest room in PP but you get an ever-entertaining view of the traffic along Sisowath Quay with a backdrop of the mighty... More

Great location on this hotel, we got a big family room with balcony with river view. Nothing really to complain about. The hotel is surrounded with great restaurants and nightlife. Will stay again when visiting PP.

We stayed there for 2 nights in late Feb. As others have said, it is pricey for Cambodia ($25 for 2 people), but the omelette with fresh baguette & coffee was good & helped to balance this out. Our room was roomy & nice, & everything worked as intended. Our bed was great. The location was great, being able to... More

We stayed in a double room with no windows. The room was large with a big shower and toilet. The place was clean and has desk and couch and tea table! The room had plenty of plugs and the air con was super! The room was cleaned every day and got fresh towels. The breakfast was really tasty and well... More

This hotel is severely overpriced and horrible! The room was small dingy and smelly, the aircon barely worked and our 'window' open up into the wall of the opposite building. The breakfast, coffee and the service was horrible! My partner and I went shopping on the second night and upon our return the bartender said to me 'dirty girl, handsome... More

Stayed one night, only took the room because some of the other spots along the river looked worse and we were sick of looking. For what you get, the price tag is way too much. Restaurant downtairs can really be missed also. Very nice restaurant right next door, way better in every way. Lock was damaged, aircon couldnt be turned... More
