We liked this place. The staff was really helpful, the food at the restaurant was delicious, a fantastic balcony and a large room with a wardrobe and a mini-bar. Clean but walls need painting and maintenance is basic. Rooms without windows are less expensive but a bit sad: only for sleeping. Also the air-con was not working properly (like the... More

Stayed at Sary's twice on our trip around Cambodia first room we had was a large windowless double over the kitchen which ment lots of noise from 5am when the kitchen staff started work! We changed to the more expensive front rooms with a large balcony, the rooms are quite adequite in size but lack a mirror for dressing a/c... More

Good things Owner changed my room when I informed him that the hot water in shower was not working, large room (initial room was small), well located, working internet, helpful staff, staff arranged tours and ongoing travel, good bed, quiet, strong hot water (after change of room) Not so good things Air conditioning struggled to get to a cold temperature,... We booked this hostel online, on a reputable site, before we arrived in Cambodia wanting to save ourselves the hassle of having to find somewhere upon arrival. Once in Phnom Penh we took a tuk-tuk to the hostel but when we arrived we were told that even though they had our booking, there was no room available for us as... More

I would not recommend this guest house. Phnom Penh has many other much nicer places to stay. Don’t try to save money with Sary’s. Lack of included breakfast in the morning will cost $10 for two people. The room I stayed in was awful. The white tile floor was covered with dirt. The windows were boarded shut and locked- meaning... More

The location of the guesthouse is ideal to explore Phnom Penh. Near to the water, the royal palace, the national museum. All within walking distance. I don't know what the other reviews were complaining about. For the price, you can't expect a 5-star experience. The owner was very friendly and bent over backwards to make sure you were comfortable. The... More

Good value for your money especially given its location. It's very close to the Quay. But not priced like the other hotels near the quay. Take a room with a balcony. The balcony with a little herb garden and wrought iron chairs is cute and the best feature. The room is fairly basic and has a bit of dark feel... More

The stairs, admitadly, can be tiresome if you have a huge pack, but the staff carried my bags up to our room so it wasn't an issue for me. The owner was extremely nice, and had good suggestions for places to go for drinks. Only major flaw was when they did my laundry I got it back still somewhat dirty,... More

I didnt enjoy my stay at this guesthouse. I didt find the owner friendly at all. It seemed he only wanted to push his over priced extras. The food wasnt too bad but my room leak when it rained and it wasn't cleaned once for the week I was there. There are plenty of better guesthouses in Phnom Penh.

Just a block from the river front is Sary's guesthouse owned by a great guy. Formerly a Tuk Tuk driver, the owner is very friendly, conversationalist, has a slight Aussie/Brit accent to his English. Always smiling. The place has eight rooms, the price is reasonable as well as the food. I enjoyed staying there for one night, with the owner's... More
