We randomly picked this place from the Lonely Planet guide and boy were we glad!!! Clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good air con and fan, nice shower and a working tv with cable!!! The staff are all very helpful and funny and they made our last night in Phnom Penh a memorable one!
On our checkout at 7am, we unfortunately...

I spent about 6 weeks or so at the Lazy Gecko, and was really happy with my stay.
Great food, great people and good service. Awesome Sunday Roasts, delicious Khmer food and good, draft beer.
The location is very convenient, and you can access other services (laundry, mobile credit etc.) nearby.
There are a group of tuk-tuk and moto drivers...

We stayed in Lazy Gecko twice and had a great time. 9$ fan double rooms with an en-suite and cable TV are the best value around central Phnom Penh. The location is great because it's far enough although an easy walking distance from all the noisy pub streets and restaurants.
Probably due to the foreign owners the food in the...

Right near the river on a nice little road with a number of decent guesthouses, this one definitely has a lot to offer, mainly by the friendly staff and sound Aussie owners they make you feel at home there. In fact if you're feeling a little home sick they offer a fantastic Lamb Roast on a Sunday after 2pm for...

The rooms were clean and good value with either a fan or a/c. We stayed here 3 different times on our way around phnom penh, it's in a good location. In some of the rooms the bathrooms were a tight squeeze even for me who is 9st and 160m. The food isn't great but it's ok, the staff are ok...

Before I share my honest review, I want to be fair to the owner and the staff and say that I did raise this issue with them in the morning. And that the owner did apologise and assured me that this will be taken care of in the future.
While the rooms were clean and cosy and the food was...

We stayed at the gecko for about five days. It was great value, good location and comfortable. The staff was really nice, we had a room with basically our own balcony which we used quite frequently. The pug, who is their sort of mascot is cute and fat and a bit of a mooch. All over good value.
