We booked our trip to Eco Village by chance, at the last minute, not knowing anything about it nor where are we going. We were extremaly lucky, it was a wonderful place, the highlight of our tour of Borneo and we loved every minute we spent there. At 7:30am we took a speed boat from the capital to the jungle... More

We took the 3 day, 2 night package and our only regret was that we did not stay longer. We had not planned to come to Brueni, and decided to leave KK for a few days to experience the real Borneo. Sometimes expectations are set too high and it's hard to meet them, our trip to Sumbiling exceeded our wildest... More

It was a wonderful experience to stay at Sumbiling. We chose to sleep outside in a tent, which we really enjoyed. Our guide, Hatta, was very knowledgeable of local history, culture, flora and fauna. The highlight of the stay was the night walk, where a local Iban guide walked us through the jungle and pointed out animals left and right.... More

It seems to me that whatever we wished to see, whatever we wished to do, in this fascinating little country, our guide Rudy would have been able to provide it for us. Proboscis monkeys? Delivered. Rainforest walks? Done. Swimming? As often as we wanted. Team-building for our two young sons? From the back of a canoe! We even had a... More

Sumbiling Eco Village is an amazing and once in a lifetime opportunity to stay overnight (or however long you desire) in untouched rainforest amongst the Iban community. We stayed for two days, one night with two teenagers and an adult, and I think it is an experience we will never forget. If you like nature or have a remote interest... More

Pre-experience, bookings were easy and all of my questions and queries were answered. The airport pick-up was wonderful and my guide introduced the programme beautifully. I chose to stay in the standard tent accomodation and was plenty comfortable. This area keeps quite a pleasant even temperature. I chose the more hands on tour into the secondary forest which still afforded... More

We booked the 3D/2N package plus a mangrove tour. It was a great experience. Rudy picked us up at the jetty in BSB. The trip to Sumbiling was very scenic. We chose the accommodation in tents, which was appropiate, since it practically means sleeping outside in nature. I wouldn't want it any other way. The food was very delicious. I... More

We had a flight booked with Royal Brunei which required a minimum of a few hours art the Brunei airport. So we decided to stay for 5 days instead. We booked a Sumbiling ecovillage tour (3 days 2 nights) on line. Turned out to be the perfect way to spend a few days in Brunei. Rudy was absolutely the best... More

Sumbiling Eco Village is everything it professes to be. Unlike many operators who stretch the truth in their websites and brochures, Sumbiling possibly even undersells itself. The facility is very simple, yet excellent. Tables with bamboo seats and ceiling fans make mealtimes and lazy afternoons very comfortable, and there are hammocks by the river to relax in after a morning's... More
