We arrived very early in the morning (because of the night train from Da Nang) but we could leave our bags at the hotel and the room was already available at 11 am. We had a room on the street side which was a little bit noisy during the night, due to some bars nearby that stay open until late....

An amazing operation. Stayed here for 4 nights total. Two nights in late February, then one night each time in March twice. Stayed in 123, next to 127. I wish Madame Cuc starts running hotels in Hanoi. I will only go back to Hanoi if there are Madame Cuc's hotels. Our room 203 was spotless, including the balcony. I do...

We stayed at one of Madam Cuc's hotels. The room was basically windowless and extremely uninviting. The worst part though was how badly they ripped us off when helping with other arrangements. They added a huge surcharge (way worse that the ticketmaster ones that caused so much protest), and they misrepresented what they were delivering. The fast boat they booked...

This place is an amazing deal, especially for long term travellers. Take in the breakfast and dinner if you really need to save some cash! You will likely be walking up several flights of stairs, so if you have a problem with this, book elsewhere!

Second, the room (20$) is expensive for what it is: 10 sqm, no soap, and the room was never cleaned in 2...

We walked in because it was in the Lonely planet.
The room was 15 usd ( but the price depends on the customer, we heard an old couple paying 25 usd). It was a small room but very clean on the 3rd floor.
Brekkie is free and good and you can have a free light dinner too.
For some reason...

We were quoted in dollars, but you can only really pay in Dong, because you can't withdraw dollars. The exchange rate they used was 5% over the real rate. We showed the manager the real rate, but out came the usual plethora of excuses. She ended up shouting at us in the hotel lobby. Truly shocking service. I'm a currency...

Stayed a Madame Cuc 64 for seven nights all up and we were blown away with the staff and location of this motel.Sure there are noisey bars and beeping horns but this is Vietnam and we enjoyed the experience. If you want quiet and lifts and feather pillows go to the Hilton and pay 5 to 6 times the rate. You want...
