We have just stayed at this lovely Hotel and it is just like the Windsor in Melbourne, despite the disparaging reviews from a few who do not know how to appreciate a Hotel like this. It, like the Windsor in Melbourne could do with a little upgrading, but that is all part of its charm. If you want a brand... More

We too came here after a discussion with friend who compared it to The Windsor in Melbourne.  It's not, it is far far from it.  1. Expensive pick up from airport 2. Disinterested staff on reception 3. No information regarding amenities, Bars, restaurants, breakfast etc NOTHING she didn't even direct us to where the lifts were.  4. Room large and... More

Just stayed at the hotel recently in April 2012. Hotel needs a lot of update. We did not like the room(albeit spacious) because it's very old looking with dark ugly wood furniture not to our liking. The room looks somewhat freaky and scary. The bathroom needs major overhaul/renovation. The breakfast buffet was suboptimal and boring. The fitness room is tiny... More

What a wonderfully evocative experience this was. Large room ( standard) Scrupulously clean well furnished with a very comfortable bed but stank of stale cigarette smoke. The hotel hasn't changed since Graham Greene stayed there and wrote The Quiet American. Brilliant location and yet noise is not a problem. Did not sample the restaurant but local Indian Tandoor was excellent.... More

We had a great stay here, the hotel is positioned smack bang in the middle of District 1, right across the road from the Opera house. 10 minute walk to the river, market place and Palace. The hotel is clean with very helpful and polite staff. Rooms are very spacious with heaps of floor space, high ceilings and big bathrooms.... More

We stayed here for just one night, although we had originally planned to stay for two. Our change in plans was last minute, and we had booked with booking.com who informwed us that the hotel would probably charge us for both nights as we had changed our reservation with only 48 hours before our scheduled arrival. However, the hotel very... More

The hotel belongs to the Government, it is very central and evocative. They gave us a beautiful suite with balcony facing the opera house and it was comfortable and quite nice. The restaurants are elegant and service is attentive. I would recommend this place to people who like history and the sense of time gone. I personally enjoyed it a... More

Awesome location right on dong Khoi road, literally in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. The outside of the building is gorgeous but the rooms are not like that. They are very spacious but very tired and uncomfortable. Breakfast is ok but very basic and terminated at 10 AM. Management need to look at their reviews!

This was our first stay on a one month trip to Vietnam and we were sufficiently impressed to book it again for the night before we came home! Located absolutely in the centre of Ho Chi Min City it is a good base for the tourist highlights. The hotel features much wood panelling and is classic rather than modern but... More

Ever since colonial times this has been the place to be in Saigon (as it was then called). After all the years this is still a very classy place. The location is the best in HCMC of course. The balcony leads you right to the center of the city. This means also that there is a certain amount of noise...... More
