Saigon Mini 5, on charming Bui Vien street, is close to historic sites and nightlife in the downtown core, Ben Thanh Market and 23 - 9 Park, so popular with the Vietnamese. The staff at the hotel, from the front desk on the ground level to the hotel cafe on the top floor, were courteous and helpful. Free internet access... More

The room we had on the 8th floor was good and quiet, which is hard to get in Saigon, but the Airconditioning didn't work very well, we had trouble with the in room safe and the power went off one morning and no lift! The breakfast wasn't bad but in a small hot room on the roof. The staff weren't... More

We stayed at Saigon mini 5 for three nights and both very pleased with the the quality and comfort of the rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and bed was soft and room was kept tidy and clean. The price is also very affordable.

The hotel has a strange policy of keeping guest's passport thru-out our stay which we strongly disagreed of. Rooms has safety deposit box that make us feel even more puzzled on the strange policy. 15 mins walk to Benh Than Market, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office. Lots of restaurants and pubs along the street.... More

This was my first experience staying in a budget hotel so I was a little nervous as I had booked for 5 nights. We booked 2 Deluxe rooms which had 2 double beds in each room as I was travelling with my husband and teenage daughter plus another family. Rooms looked exactly like the website, quite roomy and clean. Bathroom... More

I don't have a whole lot to say about this place. The rooms were adequate, the price was reasonable, the the location was on a busy road with lots of restaurants offering fairly cheap food and tour agencies galore. AC and hot water worked fine and the rooms were fairly quiet. Nothing special.....

As another reviewer has posted on here, some rooms AC is unsatisfactory. They tried to put me in one such room 803 before I complained. They asked I wait 15 min but the air from the AC was hardly cold or strong. The floor fan in the room was the tip off someone else didn't find the AC satisfying either.... More

I stayed at Saigon Mini Hotel 5 for 2 nights for my trip to HCMC. The hotel is conveniently located towards the western end of the Pham Ngu Lao. A walk of 20 mins brought me to Ben Tanh Market while the airport bus stop was probably about 8 mins walk. I was given room 703. This was the cheapest... More

Saigon Mini Hotel 5 was the first hotel we stayed at in Vietnam - also one of the cheapest. It's not luxury - you can't expect that for the price. Some parts of the rooms were looking a bit tired, but it was clean, safe, and very centrally located on Bui Vien Street, which is packed with loads of good... More

I stayed here for 2 nights because of the recommendation from TripAdvisor as Top Value Hotel, and I enjoyed it as it's said and it was cheap enough. Room seems basic and simple but it's okay and clean. I like the location, it's located on Bui Vien Street, a busy tourist-oriented street, easy to find food, and shops, a little... More
