Very nice, centrally located hotel. Easy walk to park, shopping, and the hustle and bustle of the city. One gets a true perspective of the vibrancy of the city. Room was nice, adequate space for suitcases, table to work. Computer was connected to the internet with a CAT 5 cable so the hotel installed a router in our room so... More

Close to the lake so good for a walk and close to the old city shops so certainly plenty of bargains available close by. We had a great room without any problems. A companion had problems with electronic lock on the room door and no hot water, both of the problems fixed with little aggravation. Some minor comprehension problems with... More

Only stayed 1 day but was very satisfied. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. Nice big shower. Right in the main shopping street. Step out from the front door and you are immediately in amongst the action. Wander the near by old streets. Very narrow building but cosy the the staff try there hardest. Drinks available from the bar/breakfast... More

An ideal situation (near the lake, in the heart of the Hanoi Old quarter but on a very quiet street). The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The top asset of this hotel is the frendliness, the helpfulness and the true efficiency of everybody on the staff (from top to bottom : from the doormen and chambermaids to the... More

Rooms and hotel are clean and service is OK. Location is great, just meters away from Hoan Kien. Just make sure you don't get a room with a window in the "atrium" as not only are they noisy, you will have to keep the curtains closed as anyone passing in the corridor can look in. And taxis cannot access when... More

The Serenade is a great little hotel, its like the staff are just learning and trying very hard, but sometimes just can't get it quite right. The rooms are fine, although small. check out the top floor they call it a bar, great to sit and read your paper and enjoy the local view. Pop down to the bar at night I'm... More

OK let's start with positives. The room was fairly modern, comfortable bed, air-conditioning and a great shower. The breakfast was pretty good and offered a decent range of Western and Asian dishes and that's just about where the positives end. When we left the hotel my wife had realised she had left her glasses on the bedside table and granted... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. It's a very basic hotel, but it's clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They gladly looked after our bags when we went to Holong bay for the night. The beds are little bit hard, but some people may like that. It's a bit of a walk to the main... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days after we came back from our junk cruise at Halong Bay. The rooms are clean and quite modern. The restaurant is also ok, for breakfast they have everything what you might expect from a 3-start hotel (fruits, bread, musli, cakes, yoghurt, ham&egg, lots of asian food...). The location is also very nice,... More

A drawback to this hotel is that it is in a street where night markets are held on some nights of the week. If the markets on being held when a traveller arrives, the taxi can't drive into the street. This means that all suitcases etc are unloaded a street away and the traveller then has to somehow carry their... More
