I cannot recommend the Hotel Calypso and it's staff enough. You are looked after from the moment you arrive, the breakfast is tasty and the rooms spacious and clean. Above everything it is the staff that make this place truly unforgettable when staying in Hanoi. I would definitely come back.

The stay was fantastic. Staying in the Old Quarter was awesome. All the life and hustle were right outside the door but in the hotel it was quiet and very comfortable. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and their language skills were very good. They would call you a cab and the doorman would escort you to the cab and tell... More

I stayed here for three nights and I was travelling alone. I loved the location - on the second day I felt like it was my new neighborhood. It is superbly located to great restaurants - one of the best pho restaurants is 30 seconds walk away. It was near most of the tourist attractions as well. I adored walking... More

Choosing a hotel in Hanoi was a challenge due to the plethora of affordable, well-rated options. Based on photos, one hotel just started to blend in with another but this one caught our eye for its simple and clean look. The hotel gets you easy walkable access to all the sites in the Old Quarter. It's on a side street... More

This hotel must be easily one of the best in Hanoi for a tourist visit. Location is excellent right in the heart of the old quarter close to all attractions and daily local city life. Staff were so helpful. Breakfast is brilliant. Despite its location in the heart of the city, it was SO QUIET at night. Very comfortable, clean... More

All staff are very helpful and understanding, Mr Kevin is a great host. Hotel is in quiet lane, perfect location in old quarter, great breakfast, even sent us with a breakfast box as our flight left early! Short walk to attractions, good selection of restaurants, and shops. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Would stay again when in Hanoi. Family with... More

All of the staff went above and beyond during our stay. The hotel is in a quiet street, perfect place to retreat from the busy streets of Hanoi. Very close to Beer junction and the lake. Close to many great restaurants. Very clean, neat and tidy.

A perfect place to start out our journey in Vietnam. We could retreat to this lovely hotel anytime we needed to escape the bustle of Hanoi, get over the jetlag and cool down in a peaceful and comfortable room. It's right in the old quarter which is where I believe you should stay in Hanoi for a fantastic experience and... More

An amazing hotel in a narrow alley way, truly amazed when we saw it. The staff were wonderful, breakfast was fantastic, eggs cooked exactly as you want them. A gem in amongst an extremely busy city. The old quarter is the perfect section to stay in to get the real feel of Hanoi and it is a short walk to... More

If you want to stay in the old quarter but have relative peace and quiet- this is the place to be at! The staff were excellent. The aircon in our room was excellent. Bottled water, fruit, help with translations, tours, you name it! I would definitely stay here again- especially for the Special Beef Pho with locals in the shop... More
