Everything is average. Except one complaint..... I expect Melia being an international brand hotel, to have at least a good sense of security around and inside the premise. Why is it that, whenever you step out of the hotel, there is so many of those taxi drivers just 12 or more steps away from main entrance who keep asking if... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Melia Hanoi. Booked a base room but upsold on the benefits of the exec floor on arrival. Breakfast, happy hour drinks and nibbles and exec lounge for two for just $50 extra. Food quality and range excellent Spa massage good. Only a walk of a few blocks to the lake and the old quarter.... More

Very smart hotel, just enough of a pleasant walk from everything. Evening buffet was great, staff vey good. Enjoyed the 10 min stroll to the lake(and enjoyed crossing the roads!). Plenty of choice at breakfast.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour of Indochina - our first visit to the region. We didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were out and about seeing all the sights and sampling local restaurants. But we were pretty happy - clean, comfortable, good breakfasts, decent service from staff. It's a bit further... More

To start, what matters in the end. Melia Hanoi has one of the best (maybe the best) beds I have slept into. So much so that the first times I was going there I enquired where did they get their pillows, bed clothes and all the rest. There are many kinds of rooms and they would often upgrade a little... We stayed here for 3 days, and found it to be very comfortable, large bedroom and excellent bathroom/shower. The hotel had an excellent variety of food for breakfast. There are also numerous good restaurants nearby. The hotel is only about a 20 minute walk from the centre of town, and the notorious Maison Centrale prison, often referred to as the... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times and been very comfortable while working in Viet Nam. The hotel is close to shopping and eating opportunities, and the surrounding area is very safe. I have walked many of the streets in the area, progressively enlarging my walk area and never been bothered by anyone. Conversely, I find the people helpful... More

My family of 4 stayed here as part of a conference group. Our check in at 9pm was a nightmare as we had requested interconnecting rooms however all they could give us was rooms on 2 different floors. As the children are young we said we would at least need the same room and so all they could offer was... More

We stayed here as a small business group and it served our purposes very well. We had everything that we required and were very comfortable, plus we were given an upgrade to a suite which was very nice indeed. The lounge was a great meeting place in the evenings for our group.
