Located close to the train station in a relatively quiet area this hotel was the last stop on my trip. It took some time to get to the tourist area but it wasn't bad. The shopping area was huge so unless you wanted to explore all of it (which i could not do in two days) it is close to... More

This place will suffice if you are looking for a clean, low price, basic accommodation. It is on a busy street near the Temple of Literature and within (longer) walking distance of the Lake and the old quarter. On the positive, no hot water problems, the air cond worked OK, the front desk service was good, the tile floor was... More

The price is cheap and the hotel staff is very friendly. That's the best feature of the hotel. However, the room is a bit too small for me and the beds are hard. I couldn't sleep at all for my first 2 nights in the hotel. The wifi is very slow and the TV just doesnt seem to work properly... More

I stayed here the night before I joined an Intrepid tour so in total was here 3 nights. The rooms are a good size and a reasonable price. They are clean although the beds are a bit hard - I think that is normal in Vietnam. The staff are helpful and friendly and will change money at a reasonable rate.... More

Van Mieu is cheap and cheerful. The rooms are good value for the price. Clean and tidy with a decent amount of room. The staff are also very helpful even if the language barrier was an issue at times but that's to be expected. The one downside is location. Although near the temple of literature, it's about a 30min walk... More

Near-ish to railway station and about 3 minutes walk to temple of literature. Rooms were clean and ok. Wifi worked no problem. Quite pleasant in reception. Breakfast nothing special. About a half hour walk to lake and old quarter.

The hotel was clean and neat, the room size was ok as was the bathroom. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Free wireless is provided and the rooms come with a working air conditioner. The breakfast was pretty standard Vietnam fair, enough but rather bland and pretty much the same every day. The hotel is however not located in... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is good with a large supermarket just down the street. Rooms are good, hot water cuts in and out which can make for an interesting shower.

We stayed here for 5 nights in dec/jan. The staff were really helpful and the rooms were clean, however there was only hot water 2 days out of 5 and it was quite cold when we were there so this was a big downer.

Rooms are fine for the rent they are charging. Breakfast is ok. You need to walk couple of stairs before you reach reception and that can be a problem to physically challenged and older people. Bed were not very comfortable. Service is excellent. There was a problem and they sent someone to fix immediately.
