While staying at Hanoi Lake View Hotel, the staff was very nice and helpfull. They mades us breakfast, showed us where to go, let us use the internet ect. During our time at Hanoi Lake View Hotel the staff also helped us book our wonderfull trips - e.g to Halong Bay, Sapa and the Hanoi city tour (which is very... More

Being about a 10 minute walk from the Old Quarter this hotel has the advantage of being quiet and away from the touts but a good place to explore from. When we arrived we'd been assigned a side room which was far too small for the price. The staff upgraded us to a Lake View room which was a bit... More

We stayed only one night in Hanoi since we went the next day to Halong Bay. The hotel is quite far away from the old quartier of Hanoi. Since we booked in a hurry we didn't realize (while booking) that the hotel is at another lake (hence, not the famous one in old town). However, we booked a lakeview room,... More

Hotel needs a complete overhaul. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in in Vietnam and was the worst. Breakfast was a joke and don't be fooled by the silver food warmers in the photo, they were always empty. We had a balcony, but no chairs to sit on it. In one of the bedrooms, the ceiling had mold... Nice but pushy staff. Hotel room clean but moldy all over, in desperate need of renovations (cracks in ceiling etc), cockroaches in the bathroom, rats running around in the stairways at night and downstairs around the kitchen and breakfast area. Toast and jam for breakfast.. More

I have stayed at this hotel once before and was very satisfied. This time i can not say the same. The hotel staff refused to give me my passport when i was going to check out. They wanted to charge me extra money. I refused to pay an had to call for police. When police came the hotel staff gave... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over seven days. On each occasion when we left to go to another part of our tour they where very helpfull and looked after our bags. We went to Sapa and they allowed us to have a shower that evening before going to the train. Which was lovely. On arrival back from... More

Hanoi Lake View...what a great surprise! We've booked for 2 or 3 nights in september 2008 (and not 2009!) without any idea about what the city could offer and what to do there for 8 days... Once in the hotel we met the guy who organizes trips&co and we've explained him our intention to do something unforgettable... The staff has... More

Two of my colleagues and I stayed at the Hanoi Lake View Hotel for two nights. We had originally planned to stay longer however a change of plans meant that we had to leave early. The rooms are pleasant, although small they are clean and comfortable, and no noise can be heard from the street. The hotel is within walking... More

I stayed there at the beginning of July for 3 nights. The room was really big and very comfortable. The staff were very good, especially Tony whose knowledge of the travel industry was brilliant. He organised trips and other hotel accommodation for us. Just be careful that all information is included on the receipts as we had a mixup with... More
