We returned to Lolita in February having discovered its pleasures last August. It is, without doubt, the best value, and on the best part of Maenam beach. I don't know what the detractors were expecting, but it is exactly what we were: quiet, peaceful, charming, inexpensive, and with the bungalow right on the beach, the perfect setting. Stayed at Lolita for second time and were not disappointed. Yes, you do need a torch with you at night either to walk along the beach or up to the main road, but no problems. Visited end Nov 2005 Welcome was poor - we arrived at 9pm in the dark - no lighting and uneven ground and we were not assisted with luggage despite being quite loaded with cases, so it was a struggle.
