We have stayed at this resort before so knew exactly what to expect. We were both pleasantly surprised with the improvements made to this hotel over the last ten years. We booked a deluxt garden bungalow which we were very happy with. The room had a king sized 4 poster bed plus single, full size free, tea and coffee making... More

I have never complained about anywhere I have ever stayed but this place took the cake! After arranging and confirming a pick up from the airport they failed to show up and after waiting over one hour I had to find someone to help me find their phone number to ring them and I didn't even get an apology so... Booked a standard bungalow and on checkin was upgraded to a deluxe room which I was naturally very happy about. Unfortunately, although the room was bigger and had a DVD player it was right next to the kitchen and very noisy between 6am and 930pm. Also had no balcony or outdoor area and no smoking room. Avoid room 201. Breakfast... More

Chaweng itself is extremely westernised, and when I say westernised I mean speedos, bronzed women, kids, Macdonalds, night market with people hassling you left right and centre, tons of restaraunts and bars. Resort was directly on a long road full of this and it backed right onto a beach which was very beautiful, even if there were sellers every few... More

I'm really glad that I found these reviews after we stayed as I thought the place was great. It was out of the madness of Central Chaweng, but close enough that you could walk with kids in about half an hour, added bonus was that you could walk along the beach. We had a standard bungalow which was small, but... More

I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and found it quite (good for a reasonable price) so decided to return this time as well. It has nice tropical gardens surrounding individual cottages (which I prefer rather than joined or block of rooms), beach frontage and 2 swimming pools at the quiet southern end of Chewang Beach. Although the foyer... More

BYO bread.. cos they ran out, (which was every day)! when you asked for more they would bring out bread with green mould all over it. YUK!! DISGUSTING!!!! As for the pool... dont get in as you may catch... More

Booked a day room here to use for showering and changing before evening flight. Room was dilapidated and disgusting. Must be the worst hotel on Samui. Avoid at all costs!

Basically it came down to the cleanliness, or lack of it! In its day we think that Chaweng Beach Resort would have been very nice but it is in need of a lot of maintenance, just basic stuff too. Whilst we know it wasn’t 5-6 star it doesn’t matter what it is, there is no excuse for lack of cleanliness…….... More
