Receptionist are very friendly and willing to help making reservations and getting you discounts. However, deluxe bedrooms are really a disappointment. This hotel is right in the middle of bustling noisy Chaweng. The rooms are set back from the road and lead to the beach with a small swimming pool. Chaweng itself is everything that Thailand shouldn't be - McDonalds, Subways, KFCs etc but The Island is a piece of sanctuary just far enough away from the mayhem at the north end of Chaweng.
